Fans rejoice as Dr. Strange’s UK release date is brought forward by three whole days
WE get to see Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton in action nine days before US fans
IT'S our lucky day.
We were already getting closer to the Dr. Strange release date when we woke up this morning, but then Marvel announced that they had brought the opening forward by three whole days.
The movie, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Tilda Swinton, was set to UK hit cinemas on October 28, but now we'll get the chance to watch it from 25 October.
The studio tweeted the news to a group of very happy followers, writing, "The UK release for Marvel's #DoctorStrange moves forward. Catch it in UK cinemas from Tuesday 25th October!"
The tweets of joy flocked in from eagerly awaiting fans, with one writing, "I'm absolutely buzzing off this."
Another added, "THIS IS AMAZING".
It's not unusual for Marvel to release their movies earlier in the UK. In the US, fans won't get to watch it until 4 November.
In 2010, they experimented with the release date of Iron Man, opting to bring it forward in the UK to match up with the Easter holidays.
