Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood reveals he has been ‘homeless’ for five months

SATURDAY nights on Strictly Come Dancing are all about glitz and glamour.

But judge CRAIG REVEL HORWOOD's private life couldn't be more the opposite.

The Aussie has been left homeless for the last five months despite the fact he owns two houses worth more than £1million each.

He's been unable to live in his Hampshire mansion due to a massive flood caused by a burst pipe - and his London home is currently being rented out by two Strictly dancers.

It means he's having to fork out thousands to take over the penthouse of a Holiday Inn hotel as he lives out of a suitcase.

In an exclusive interview, Craig revealed: “There was a huge flood. Internal pipes from the underfloor heating burst and the water damaged the entire kitchen, conservatory, utility room and cellar. Everything had to be gutted.

“I had just put in a new kitchen and all of that had to go. The whole lot had to go so it will be all brand new.”

Craig chose the location of his Hampshire home – which boasts seven bedrooms, a swimming pool and over seven acres of land – to be close to then boyfriend Damon Scott but the pair split in May after three years.

He also owns a £1 million property in North London, which is currently being lived in by ALJAZ SKORJANEC and JANETTE MANRARA.

Now Craig faces another two month wait before moving back into his country pile, with builders working round the clock to make it habitable.

He added: “I haven’t been home for five months and there wasn’t really room for me at the London house, which I’ve been renting out for a year. As a result, I’m living in a Holiday Inn. The penthouse suite, naturally.

"They will finish the kitchen and there will be running water in the toilets by the end of September, the bedrooms need reflooring, the utility room and kitchen won’t be done for another two months."

That's a lot of room service pizza.
