Lady Gaga gives fans an eyeful as she launches first new material in three years in London
Singer revealed her comeback single, Perfect Illusion
THERE is definitely no popstar in the world today like LADY GAGA – brave, honest, sexy and truly groundbreaking.
That’s why I’ve found the three-year wait for her new material particularly painful, even though she’s had a busy time winning Golden Globe awards and releasing albums with TONY BENNETT.
But, thank goodness, the megastar is back.
She flew in to London yesterday, to launch her new single Perfect Illusion, in one of her typically daring outfits..
And invited me to spend some time with her in the afternoon, left, to talk about her highly anticipated comeback.
The epic song – written on a vintage typewriter with Aussie band TAME IMPALA – is already top of the iTunes chart in more than 60 countries.
Despite having had only two hours’ sleep following a champagne bash in Berlin, Gaga planned to celebrate into the early hours, for good reason. Her album – out before the end of the year – has been co-produced by MARK RONSON and features a duet with British singer FLORENCE WELCH.
I’ll be telling you much more about what Gaga had to say in Monday’s Bizarre.
You can also watch highlights of our chat on ITV’s Lorraine at 8.30am that morning. I’ll be reporting live from Hollywood.
Welcome back Gaga, pop has missed you.

Brent is just genius
IT’S easy to see why RICKY GERVAIS bagged a GQ Genius award, although alter-ego David Brent won’t be getting singing plaudits any time soon.
Off the back of hysterical new film David Brent: Life On The Road, the wannabe rocker and his band Foregone Conclusion appeared at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
Joined on Thursday by RAZORLIGHT drummer ANDY BURROWS, he began with Ooh La La – about a road trip to Mexico he never went on.
Before Thank F**k It’s Friday, he warned adults to take kids out of the theatre due to the explicit lyrics – but reminded them the kids had to be theirs.
After stopping the gig to point out one of the props looked like a lit-up penis, Brent introduced rapper BEN BAILEY SMITH – aka Doc Brown – who also starred in the movie.
The duo roused the sell-out crowd to fever pitch with political hit Equality Street and Brent wrapped things up with Free Love Freeway.
He still insists TEXAS are a Foregone Conclusion supporting act, but their absence was not missed during the triumphant return of Slough’s most famous export (besides office stationery, that is).
An Oll lot Mur
OLLY MURS tweeted me this amazing pic of him and a pineapple yesterday, after I teased him for calling himself a “naturist” on ITV’s Lorraine.
It‘s from a party he threw, and was taken four hours before he got to bed.
He said: “That was 1am, I wasn’t even that drunk.”
— KAISER CHIEFS frontman RICKY WILSON is so loved-up with girlfriend Grace Zito he wants everyone to know.
The band’s new album Stay Together, out on October 7, is packed with soppy songs.
Ricky said: “Most love songs tend to be about the moment you meet someone.
“It’s really easy to quit, but it’s really hard to stay together.”
The band are performing at the Run, Rock ’n’ Raise – Making Every Note Count bash in Newcastle tomorrow, after bandmate PEANUT takes part in the Great North Run.
