Inside Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s toxic split as he claims she called him a THIEF & lets rip with brutal post
WHEN Kanye West and Kim Kardashian put on a united front for the sake of their children, it looked like their split was amicable.
Now, 13 months on, the end of their eight-year union is turning into one of the messiest celebrity divorces of all time — with both sides flinging mud at each other.
And in a shocking new turn, billionaire rapper Kanye, 44, has now claimed that Kim falsely believed he wanted to kill her.
In a ranting video posted to his 11million followers on Instagram, he claimed: “Yesterday Kim accused me of putting a hit out on her so let me get this straight.
“I beg to go to my daughter’s party and I’m accused of being on drugs. Then I go play with my son and I take my Akira graphic novels and I’m accused of stealing.
“Now I’m being accused of putting a hit on her. These ideas can actually get someone locked up.
“They play like that with black men’s lives whether it’s getting them free or getting them locked up. I’m not playing about [with] my black children anymore.”
Kanye, who found worldwide fame with his 2003 breakthrough hit Through The Wire, then went on to leak a string of messages between himself and Kim’s cousin in which she appeared to support for him publicly slamming the mother of his children for letting their daughter North, eight, appear on video app TikTok.
While Kanye has since removed the posts from his official social media account, screenshots of his claims have been shared thousands of times.
And fans are now left wondering how America’s 21st century power couple have fallen so far, so quickly.

Kanye and Kim met for the first time in 2002 when she was hanging out with singer Brandy, but they only started dating in 2012.
He made an over-the-top marriage proposal by renting out a 41,000- capacity baseball stadium in San Francisco on her 33rd birthday.
The pair went on to marry less than a year later in Florence, Italy with stars including singer John Legend, rapper Jaden Smith and film director Steve McQueen attending the lavish weekend.
Prior to the ceremony, Kim and Kanye held a rehearsal for their wedding dinner in the gold-covered Palace of Versailles just outside of Paris.
Cracks started to show in their relationship in 2020 when it was revealed Kim was concerned about Kanye’s bid to run for president.
He was later forced to apologise to her when he announced they had considered abortion when she was pregnant with North.
At the time Kim said: “As many of you know, Kanye has bipolar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand.
“Living with bipolar disorder does not diminish or invalidate his dreams or creative ideas.”
In a grovelling statement weeks later, he said on Twitter: “I would like to apologise to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter. I did not cover her like she has covered me. To Kim, I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me.”
'PLEASE FORGIVE ME'
After months of speculation, they finally announced in January last year they had split, and Kim later spoke about why she had wanted to end their relationship.
During the final series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she said: “I never thought I was lonely. But, turning 40 this year, I was like, ‘No, I don’t want a husband that lives in a completely different state. I want someone that we have the same shows in common. I want someone that wants to work out with me.
“I was like, ‘Wow. It’s like the little things is what I don’t have.’”
Despite their differences, Kim appeared keen to keep her family together as much as possible.
Along with their children Saint, six, Chicago, four, two-year-old Psalm, and North, Kim continued to support Kanye’s career.
Last August she made a number of appearances at listening events in the US for his tenth album Donda and even appeared on stage at one gig in a white wedding gown.
Kanye appeared to use their new amicable status to make a handful of public attempts at reconciliation, including changing the lyrics of his track Runaway to be directed at Kim. At the gig in Los Angeles, he ad-libbed: “Run back to me . . . more specifically, Kimberly,” as she stood in the audience.
But his attempts were rebuffed — and days before his very public declaration it was revealed that Kim had filed legal documents to change her marital status to single.
Just weeks later it was revealed she was dating US comedian Pete Davidson.
Kim, 41, and the 28-year-old Saturday Night Live funnyman went public at the start of the year, although reports have claimed they started dating last October.
Many initially cast doubts over the romance due to Pete’s string of A-list exes which includes pop star Ariana Grande, actress Kate Beckinsale and Bridgerton actress Phoebe Dynevor.
Now it has become increasingly clear that Kim and Pete’s relationship is far more serious, with friends saying the pair are head-over-heels.
But while their relationship is appearing to bloom, Kanye’s bond with Kim has started to crumble.
Kim has kept quiet about Pete and what is going on behind closed doors with Kanye but he is fixated on airing their dirty laundry in public.
Kim's pal
And insiders said that the happier Pete and Kim have become, the harder it is for Kanye.
A pal revealed: “Kim has kept quiet about Pete and what is going on behind closed doors with Kanye but he is fixated on airing their dirty laundry in public.
“She would be a fool to try to guess what is going on inside Kanye’s head but she believes it’s her bond with Pete that is behind his outbursts.
“Despite problems in their marriage, Kim went out of her way for a while to try and keep things civil. Clearly that’s no longer possible. After so many years together it’s heartbreaking to watch — especially when they have children together.”
Last month Kanye took a very public swipe about Kim’s decision to move on with Pete.
In new song Easy, he rapped that he would “beat Pete Davidson’s a**,” while a female voice asks, “Who?”
As Kim and Pete’s relationship went from strength to strength, Kanye embarked on a very public new relationship with US actress Julia Fox.
The pair have been forced to slap down claims their romance is for show, with Julia insisting she wasn’t using Kanye for fame.
She said recently: “Honey, I’ve dated billionaires my entire adult life. Let’s keep it real.”
Things took a more toxic turn when Kanye claimed that Kim had banned him from attending their daughter Chicago’s fourth birthday party. Turning again to social media, he claimed they had hidden the bash from him — prompting Kim to issue a stern statement rebutting his claims.
Kanye last week shocked fans by claiming Kim had put North on TikTok “against her will”.
And once again, Kim was forced to bite back, saying in a statement: “Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create.
'CONSTANT ATTACKS'
“I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision — because it brings her happiness.
“Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all.”
She added: “From the beginning I have wanted nothing but a healthy and supportive co-parenting relationship because it is what is best for our children. It saddens me that Kanye continues to make it impossible every step of the way.”
Kanye immediately hit back: “America saw you try to kidnap my daughter on her birthday by not providing the address. I had to take a drug test after Chicago’s party cause you accused me of being on drugs.”

Kim, perhaps wisely, chose not to respond in a public forum.
Sources say she is intent on seeing through their divorce as quickly and with the least disruption possible to their children. Whether she will get what she wants is another thing entirely.
