DAVID Beckham has revealed he chowed down 32 snails in one sitting as he indulged at a fancy Parisian restaurant.
The former Manchester United ace, 46, told how he visited French eatery Chez L'Ami numerous times before clocking up his quirky "record" for escargots - a staple dish across the Channel.
David admitted the foodie feat - solely for those with an acquired taste for the delicacy - to the River Cafe Table 4 podcast.
The star, who is married to former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, 47, gushed: "My record of eating escargots is 32 at one dinner.
"They're big. They come in trays of six or nine.
"I was in there with Victoria once and we were in there for about four hours and had the most amazing wine."
Further divulging his love for the cuisine Becks added: "I used to go in there once a week.
"I shouldn't have done because I was a professional athlete and I try to watch what I eat, but I made sure I ran harder the next day.

“They used to let me come in at 7pm, the first service was at 7.30pm but no one would come in then. I used to turn up at 7pm, and by the time the first people were coming in at 7.45pm I was walking out."
David played for Paris-based club Paris Saint-German in 2013, in what were to be the final six months of his career.
After moving to the French capital, Golden Balls was clearly relishing the country's way of life.
He continued: ”I used to do that once a week on my own. I didn't care that I was on my own.
"I didn't drink the wine but I sat there eating the most amazing food.
"They bring a tub of creme fraiche out at the end, and dollop it on the plate.“
After moving back to the UK and away from the high-end cuisine, David's comfort food guilty pleasure tips the other end of the spectrum.
Making fun of himself, he giggled: "After talking about all of this great food and all of these great restaurants I go to, my comfort food is a packet of salt and vinegar Discos.
"And maybe a toastie made in the Breville toaster with baked beans."
For those wondering just how the dad of four makes his lunch, he added: ”I put the bread in, Hovis, a little bit of butter on the outside so it doesn't stick, I put the baked beans in, toast it for four or five minutes, and open it up. No cheese.
“That and a packet of Discos. I'm more of a crisp man than a chocolate.”
NOSH SPICE
Earlier this month, the sports ace confessed he loves sharing his food but his former Spice Girl wife will only ever have grilled fish and steamed veg.
He admitted the one time she did try something else was “one of his favourite evenings.”
Discussing his wife’s eating habits on the same podcast, he explained: “I get quite emotional about food and wine, when I’m eating something great I want everyone to try it.
“Unfortunately I’m married to someone that has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years.
“Since I met her she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables, she will very rarely deviate from that.”
He continued: “The only time she’s probably ever shared something that’s been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper and it was the most amazing thing. It was one of my favourite evenings. I can’t remember what it was but I know she’s not eaten it since.”
