ODELL'S STALKER HELL

Tom Odell stalked by obsessed fan who bombarded singer with postcards and turned up at his home four times

TOM Odell was stalked by an obsessed fan who turned up to his house four times and bombarded him with postcards and letters.

The Another Love singer, who has previously spoken about having “bad anxiety”, was pursued by the stalker who once emailed him to say she would “see him tomorrow” before turning up at his home address.

Olga Moskaleva, 45, left books and posted letters to Odell, 31, and his model fiance Georgie Somerville, 21, over a year and a half.

On one final occasion Moskaleva left a book outside Odell’s house before travelling to Bristol, where he was performing that night, in an attempt to meet him.

Thames Magistrates Court in east London heard how she had sent Odell three postcards, a letter, two books, and six emails between April 2020 and September 2021.

In July 2021 Moskaleva was seen on CCTV at Odell’s home address after sending him an email to let him know she was planning to visit.

She was released on bail on the condition that she did not contact Odell or Somerville directly or indirectly or visit their home address.

At a pre-sentencing hearing this morning, defence lawyer for Moskaleva Caroline Geary asked for a psychiatric report to be prepared before the defendant is sentenced.

Geary told the court that Moskaleva, who pleaded guilty in October, has “very severe mental health issues”.

District Judge Law adjourned the hearing until April 7 when she could face up to six months in prison.

Chichester-born musician Odell is about to start a world tour after releasing his fourth studio album, Monsters, last year.

The BRIT award winning singer revealed in 2019 how he now meditates twice a day to help cope with his nerves.

After splitting from model Sydney Lima, he said he was rushed to hospital after suffering a panic attack.

Speaking in 2019, he said: "I wasn't aware omnipresent anxiety had a name, I thought that was just me until it exploded last year.

"I went through a very painful break-up with someone who I still love very much, I was increasingly worried about how I felt. One day I collapsed in the shower in Munich.

"I felt like I couldn't breathe and I was having a stroke. I ended up in an ambulance and in hospital. It was absolutely terrifying.

"It was a horrendous month. A slammed door could send me into a mess of nerves. It was a severe panic attack.

“Had I been more aware of mental illness the attack wouldn't have been so bad."
