Kendrick Lamar has also learned how to balance his successful career with fatherhood, welcoming several children with his fiancée of almost a decade, Whitney Alford.
How many kids does Kendrick Lamar have?
Lamar, 35, and his fiancée, Whitney Alford, have known each other since they were teenagers.
The couple got engaged in 2015, and have since welcomed two children together.
Lamar is notoriously private about his personal life and kept both of Whitney's pregnancies a secret from the mainstream media.
Their first child, a baby girl named Uzi, was born on July 26, 2019.
The couple never revealed exactly when their second child, a son named Enoch, was born.
Instead, they revealed the news with the release of Kendrick's fifth studio album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.
The album's cover art was a family photo, showing Kendrick and Whitney each holding one of their two children.
Kendrick also revealed his son's name to the world in one of the album's songs, Mr. Morale.

In a , Kendrick revealed that he had doubts about releasing such a personal album, but his children inspired him to do so.

“I thought about when they turn 21, or they’re older in life and when I got grandchildren, or if I’m long gone — this can be a prerequisite of how to cope."

Who is Whitney Alford?
Whitney Alford was born on May 12, 1986, in Compton, California.
She grew up with and attended the same high school as Lamar.
Alford has a degree in accounting from California State University, but today she works as a professional make-up artist and aesthetician.
Alford and Lamar became close friends in high school, beginning a romantic relationship shortly afterward.
The two went public with their relationship in 2014, and a year later, Lamar and Alford were engaged.
In a cover story, the 17-time Grammy winner told the platform that his love for Alford went beyond basic labels.
He said: "I wouldn’t even call her my girl, that’s my best friend."
"I don’t even like the term that society has put in the world as far as being a companion — she’s somebody I can tell my fears to.”
Is there a wedding date in sight?
Despite being engaged for nearly a decade, the couple have yet to wed.
Due to Lamar's radio silence over the past few years, fans suspected he may have been spending more quality time with his family, planning a secret wedding, or even already married.
However, it seems that despite not tying the knot, Kendrick and Whitney are closer than ever.
