Jamal Edwards was making plans for this week just hours before his death with Big Narstie

BIG Narstie has revealed he spoke to Jamal Edwards just hours before his death – and they had plans to meet this week.

Musical mogul and entrepreneur Jamal passed away on Sunday following a sudden illness at the age of 31.

The news has sent shocks waves through the music industry, and stars have flooded social media paying their respects and sending their love to his mum, Loose Women star Brenda Edwards.

MC and rapper Big Narstie took to Twitter to share his devastation, telling fans: "This can’t be real spoke to @jamaledwards today we doing video Wednesday.”

Earlier today, Brenda broke her silence on his shock death and thanked everyone for "messages of love and support".

SBTV founder Jamal gained fame from setting up the new music platform in 2006, which is often credited as helping to launch a string of UK music careers including Dave, Ed Sheeran and Jessie J.

He was also an ambassador for the Prince's Trust, a charity headed by the Prince of Wales, and in 2014 he was awarded an MBE for his services to music.

In a statement read out on ITV's Good Morning Britain and shared on Loose Women's Twitter account, Jamal said: "It is with the deepest heartache that I confirm that my beautiful son Jamal Edwards passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness.

"Myself, his sister Tanisha, and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He was the centre of our world.

"As we come to terms with his passing, we asked for privacy to grieve this unimaginable loss. I would like to thank everyone for their messages of love and support.
