Adele swapped engagement ring for modest hoop as she watched basketball with partner Rich Paul
ADELE swaps her dazzling engagement ring for a more modest hoop as she joins her partner Rich Paul at the basketball.
The Brit singer, 33, sat in the front row with the sports agent for the NBA All-Star Game in Cleveland, Ohio.
However she did wear a £9,500 Alaia coat for the event, with a celeb crowd including Mary J. Blige, 51, and Jennifer Hudson, 40.
Adele first flashed her diamond ring, believed to be worth £740,000, at the Brit Awards a fortnight ago, suggesting Rich, 40, popped the question.
Rich was not in the crowd, but there was no missing the rock on her finger.
Adele scooped Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year for Easy On Me — and made her first appearance since tearfully cancelling her Las Vegas residency last month.
But at London’s O2 Adele made a veiled dig at the new gender-neutral Artist gong, saying: “I understand why the name of this award has changed but I really love being a woman and a female artist. I’m really proud of us.”
The superstar singer said she had no plans to party after the bash.
She said: “I’m going straight back to my flat, bed and getting a McDonald’s, 100 per cent.”
This year was the first that individual male and female artist awards were dropped in favour of Artist of the Year.
