In December 2013, Amanda Bynes enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Irvine, California.

Bynes was interested in illustration and fashion, and graduated with an associate's of art degree in merchandise product development in 2018.

In 2019, she graduated from FIDM, and celebrated the occasion by posing with a classmate and fellow grad on X, formerly Twitter.
