Orlando Bloom buys £126K electric eco-car in LA after flying 11,000-miles to the UK and back for pal’s wedding
ACTOR Orlando Bloom splashes out on a luxury eco electric car — after an 11,000-mile round trip to the UK.
The grinning Lord of the Rings star, 45, picked up a space-age Lucid Air sedan, which cost up to £126,000, in Beverly Hills, California.
Last week he flew in for the wedding of British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, 50, at Longleat, Wiltshire, before returning to the States.
Lucid, a Californian electric-car start-up firm, started production in September last year.
The manufacturer claims it can hit an astonishing speed of 235mph and has a maximum range of 500 miles - far in excess of most market-leading Teslas.
In fact its top speed will make it the fastest production electric car on sale.
The standard version of the car is retailing at about £40,000 in the US - again beating Elon Musk's EV brand.
