Adele throws in the towel as she announces she will not tour for another decade
The singer says she wants time to be a full-time mum to son Angelo but says she will consider Las Vegas residency
BACK in 2011, ADELE disappeared from the stage for five years.
But I’ve learned that the British superstar will quit touring for a DECADE at the end of her current world run as she takes another lengthy break from the spotlight.
The singer, has announced to friends she is ready to give up global gigs for the next ten years in order to be a full-time mum to son Angelo.
However, I’m told she WILL consider performing a money-spinning Las Vegas residency down the line instead.
The move is all part of Adele’s plan to start a new life in the US, which I revealed last month.
My music source revealed: “Angelo is the number one priority for Adele. He is the most important thing in her life.
“She has brought him everywhere with her on tour but as he is starting school next year, he won’t be able to join her any more.
“Adele doesn’t want to miss a moment of Angelo growing up and it’s an easy decision for her to give up touring for him.
“Right now she is saying she won’t do another massive world tour like the current one for another ten years.

“But she is going to consider doing a Las Vegas residency — something which has already been put on the table.
“A regular Vegas show appeals to her because it is in one place and she would be able to maintain a normal life, but it won’t happen for a number of years.”
At the halfway point of Adele’s current 107-date world tour, she had grossed an incredible £57million from ticket sales alone.
With that figure set to double to well over £100million, the star will be all right for cash during her downtime — especially if she agrees to take up a residency.
Stars such as ELTON JOHN, CELINE DION and ROD STEWART earn £385,000 a show in Sin City.
And I have already revealed how TAKE THAT and BRUNO MARS are lining up lucrative slots of their own.
Over the weekend, Adele admitted her struggle with touring to fans in Philadelphia.
She said: “I don’t know how many of you know this but I don’t really consider myself to be much of a touring artist.
“I’ve never gelled very well with touring as I’m a real homebody.”
With Adele set to become a full-time mum, our loss is going to be the school Christmas concert’s gain.
Gorillaz swinging into action
GORILLAZ are ready to make their grand comeback after a five-year absence – and music ADELE rejected could feature.
DAMON ALBARN has finished the band’s long-awaited new album and hinted tunes he wrote for her before their partnership turned sour may play a part.
In an exclusive chat, he said the record would be out “soon” and added: “Of course, we’ll be touring and doing festivals. I have spent the summer in the Atacama Desert in Chile, recording in Jamaica then down in Devon.”
Asked what he plans to do with the leftover music from his sessions with Adele, Damon said: “I never waste anything.”
I revealed they fell out after teaming up to write for her album, 25. He called it “middle of the road” and she told of her “regret” at involving him.
When quizzed about their row now the dust has settled, Damon wasn’t interested in getting back into the feud.
He said: “It’s not really important. None of that matters.”
Gorillaz fans will be pleased to hear their return is imminent.
Adele, on the other hand, won’t be listening in.
Brooklyn's wheel deal
THERE’S yet another big-money deal for BROOKLYN BECKHAM – as he is named the face of Pull&Bear clothing.
He was unveiled for the role yesterday, just months after The Sun revealed he had signed a £100,000 contract to promote the Honor 8 mobile phone.
After returning from New York, where he helped his mum VICTORIA celebrate her catwalk fashion show, Brooklyn was back on his favourite skateboard in London.
And following suit was JUSTIN BIEBER, who attempted a daring jump over his dad in Ibiza.
I’d like to see Brooklyn try that on DAVID.
Why 'so lucky' Liam?
LIAM PAYNE sent fans into a frenzy yesterday after mysteriously updating his Twitter bio to read that he is “the luckiest man in the world”.
Many followers took that to mean that he and girlfriend CHERYL, are expecting their first child. There have been online rumours since she appeared in a new L’Oreal campaign video looking different but neither of them have commented.
I revealed earlier this summer that the couple had already told friends they want to start a family.
There is no doubt that Liam is totally besotted with the lady in his life.
Cal's flames flare up
CALVIN HARRIS can’t seem to avoid getting burnt by his former flames.
Just as the dust begins to settle with TAYLOR SWIFT, former girlfriend RITA ORA has now fanned the fire.
Speaking about being banned from performing any of the tunes they wrote together, she said: “People do crazy things when it comes to jealousy and love.”
Rita also hinted the messy ordeal had left her afraid of love, adding: “I’ve had a few dramas.”
Calvin could be roped into Taylor’s feud with KATY PERRY – after the singer revealed she is making music with a world famous DJ.
While Calvin’s been getting fans to guess the mystery vocalist on his new tune My Way, which is out tomorrow.
It sounds too good to be true.
By George, he's back
GEORGE MICHAEL is finally launching his comeback – with a landmark documentary and re-release of his Nineties album Listen Without Prejudice Vol 1.
After much discussion, Sony Music has confirmed they have teamed up with Channel 4 and BBC Worldwide on a new film titled Freedom: George Michael, telling the dramatic story of the making of the album.
The WHAM! star is set to narrate the flick, and even better, it will feature some of music’s most legendary artists. They include STEVIE WONDER, ELTON JOHN, TONY BENNETT and LIAM GALLAGHER.
Supermodels NAOMI CAMPBELL, CINDY CRAWFORD and CHRISTY TURLINGTON will also be part of it having starred in George’s video for Freedom ’90.
The film is billed as a celebration of George’s success, 25 years on from the release of his second solo album.
Listen Without Prejudice Vol 1 went four times platinum in the UK and sold millions around the world. The piece will also document the tensions with his then-label Sony.
George is also likely to open up about the tragic death of lover ANSELMO FELEPPA, who he said was the love of his life.
This will be unmissable viewing.
Battle of the exes
ZAYN MALIK will go head-to-head with his former fiancee PERRIE EDWARDS in the book charts.
The ex-1D star will release his imaginatively titled autobiography, Zayn, on November 1 – just days after Little Mix put out theirs, called Our World.
I know which one I’ll buy .
