HOLLYOAKS actress Kassius Nelson has revealed that the storyline involving her character Jade Albright's cancer battle is going to be "really powerful".
The 19-year-old actress spoke about the incredibly emotional scenes in store for viewers.
She has been playing the role since this day last year, when she and Alfie Nightingale were introduced into the soap by executive producer Bryan Kirkwood.
The characters were later diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma, a cancer that develops in the Lymphatic system.
Jade went into cancer remission, but recently saw it return after she discovered a lump and Frankie took her to hospital.
And Kassius has revealed that she "can't wait for everyone to see the storyline evolve".
Speaking to the , she said: "It's going to be really powerful. I can't wait for people to see it all."
She added: "I just think it's all brilliant. It's going to be something special."
As they waited to get the results on the lump, Alfie distracted her by telling her that they would spend 50 years of their lives in a few weeks. The pair also got unofficially married afterwards, with Nathan acting as registrar.
The young actress also revealed that it wouldn't be a bucket list like last time: "[Jade and Alfie] both do things in their own unique way so it's a 50 year marriage thing that they are going to try and fulfil. It's really nice.
Hollyoaks have also linked the storyline to Stand up for Cancer in October, and Kassius revealed that through this they met cancer sufferers and doctors: "You learn just how hard these hospitals work, even just to make it the most comfortable and the safest place."
