MADONNA and Guy Ritchie’s fragile peace deal is in tatters after she discovered he left their teenage  son Rocco home alone to go on holiday.

The singer was “deeply worried” to find out the 16-year-old was without a parent when he was beginning an important new school year and made an emergency dash to the UK.

She dropped everything in her packed diary and immediately left New York on Sunday to be with Rocco.

The Sun revealed in February how Rocco was hanging out at a notorious London skate park and we pictured him smoking a suspicious-looking cigarette.

Pals say Madonna was concerned that without parental supervision he may return to the South Bank park and damage his attendance record- as he had done in the last academic year.

Family friends fear this latest drama - just days after their custody battle was resolved - will reignite the bitter feud between the former couple.

Budding photographer Rocco had spent almost a fortnight looking after himself after his film director Dad headed for a sunshine break with wife Jacqui.

It meant he was without his famous mum or dad as he headed to classes at a college in North London on Thursday and Friday last week.

When Madonna found out, she caught the next available flight to the UK.

Guy and Jacqui have been enjoying a break in Los Angeles, with the model sharing a snap on social media from Soho Beach House in Malibu on Wednesday.

Both parents have been concerned about Rocco’s education.

He has been encouraged by teachers to knuckle down and concentrate on his studies.

After her emergency trip to London, Madonna visited his school on Tuesday and was spotted chatting with her son’s head-teacher after a short meeting.

Madonna and Rocco’s principal have become friendly since they first met in April, when the Papa Don’t Preach singer had only just patched up her rocky relationship with her eldest son after he moved to the UK to live with his father.

Pals close to the family said Madonna was “disappointed” at the absence of Guy, 47, who is staying at Sting’s Malibu mansion, and were concerned that it shouldn’t affect his schooling.

A family source said: “Madonna dropped everything in the US and rushed to be with Rocco.

“Part of the reason for her agreeing the custody deal was the knowledge that his next school year is crucial for his future. He has important exams coming up.

“So she was deeply worried to learn that he had been left when Guy went off on holiday.

“Any peace and understanding that existed between the parents has been tested by this.”

Guy, director of films including Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, reached a settlement with ex-wife Madonna hours before they were due in court in New York on Wednesday.

A friend of the film director pointed out that Rocco wasn’t fending for himself because staff were working at the property.

But the pal conceded that aides didn’t have control over the teen in the same way as a parent.

The terms of the former warring couple’s custody agreement are secret, but it is understood Rocco will be schooled in London, with regular visits from his mother.

The parents began a legal battle last year, when the teenager ignored a court order to fly back from Ritchie’s London home to live with her in New York.

During a previous hearing Madonna’s lawyers claimed Ritchie taught his son to disrespect the law by refusing to return to his mother.

Judge Deborah Kaplan scolded both parties and told them to resolve their differences for the sake of Rocco.

In March, at the High Court in London, Mr Justice MacDonald told the parents that they risked ruining what was left of Rocco’s childhood if they carried on feuding.

Madonna and Guy - who remarried in 2015 - divorced in 2008 after eight years of marriage.

Though Madonna has a daughter, Lourdes Leon with ex Carlos Leon, and two adoptive children, David and Mercy; Rocco was their only biological child.

On Tuesday Rocco and his famous mum enjoyed a night out in London’s trendy vegetarian restaurant Farmacy where Rocco was seen drinking a bottle of Pale Ale.

Yesterday the 58-year-old celebrity was spotted bike riding through London with her personal trainer before heading to the premiere of new Beatles film Eight Days a Week.

Last night agents for Madonna and Guy Ritchie chose not to comment.
