Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott reveal incredible garden makeover at £1m London home saying ‘can’t believe it’s ours’
THEY have been renovating their plush London pad for some time, so it’s no surprise that Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott have created a perfect space – even in the garden.
The couple have completely transformed the limited outdoor space they have, turning it into a sleek and modern backyard, which is bound to make their neighbours jealous.
With the help of their landscaper, the area now features a white patio with small grass area and a pebble boarder and bay trees.
Sharing pictures of the space on their home account, Zara wrote: “I cannot believe this is our garden😭😭😭😭😭😭 it’s so nearly there!
“Some final finishing touches to do, but what do you think??🙈🥺💖 @locallukes_landscaping you are INCREDIBLE!!!.”
The open plan living space features stunning floor to ceiling doors, which open out into the garden, perfect for outdoor/indoor living.

Sam and Zara live in the £1million property right next to his sister Louise.
Speaking to The Sun about doing up the house, an overwhelmed Sam said: “That’s been my biggest stress over the past year. I’ve absolutely loved it.
“Genuinely, I walk around the gaff and I have impostor syndrome, like, ‘Oh my god, I can’t believe I live here’.
“I actually cried, as lame as that is, when we first moved back in. I can’t believe how awesome it looks. We’re really happy with it. I feel this is a home I can live in, I can maybe bring up kids one day. I feel very proud of it.”

Sam and Zara, 25, have been together since 2019 and have seen their relationship go from strength to strength following a brief split in 2020.
Describing himself as a “bit of a Hobbit”, Sam said creating a comfortable home and planning for the future are two of his biggest priorities in life.
And he’s taken inspiration from older sister Louise, who lives next door and recently welcomed her first child Leo with her personal trainer fiancé Ryan Libbey, when it comes to family planning.
He continued: “I wanna build the best home I possibly can for the place I’m going to spend 95 percent of my time. And eventually kids, that is my why. I live next to my sister which is so cool. I have no intentions of flipping and doing the whole property development stuff at the moment.

“I suppose it helps having an older sibling going through things you’re eventually going to go through yourself. It is a weird one, I’m almost planning for something that hasn’t happened yet.
"I’m trying to work towards giving my kids a good home, when it’s ‘wait a sec, I don’t even have kids.’ I’ve always been thinking three or four steps ahead.”
