Brit superstar Adele reveals she is ‘desperate’ to be a student – and plans to take a break from music to enrol at university

BRITISH superstar Adele will take a break from music – to enrol at university.

The London-born singer, 28, has revealed she plans to pick up her studies after being forced to reject an offer when she landed her first record contract.

The singer, who aged 14 attended the BRIT performing arts school, told fans in Boston last week: “I’m desperate to go to university.

“I know that sounds ridiculous but it’s one thing I really plan on doing.

“I was about to start university in Liverpool in England and then I got offered a record deal, so I was like, ‘Ugh, what do I do?’

“Obviously I took the record deal which I don’t regret at all.”

Adele’s dream is to be accepted into the elite Harvard University in Massachusetts, where past students include movie star Natalie Portman, 35, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, 32, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, 60.

But the singer confessed she does not think she would be clever enough to get in.

She said: “I want to go and do a tour of Harvard but I don’t want anyone thinking I’m smart enough to go to Harvard.

“I’m going to buy a T-shirt so I can sleep in a Harvard T-shirt. I think I would pretend to wear glasses if I went to university.”

Adele also confirmed The Sun’s story that she plans to quit music touring for ten years to look after her four-year-old son, Angelo, saying:

“I’m sorry if I disappear for a while, but I do it for you.”
