ABBA’s London hologram shows to take place close to smelly sewage treatment facility
ABBA’S fans could be humming along to hits at their new shows — as the venue is close to a sewage treatment facility.
Avatars of the pop giants are to perform at a purpose-built arena in Newham, East London.
But it is being constructed in an area which houses a waste plant.
A local said: “It’s true that sometimes it doesn’t smell the freshest around here.
“In the summer, it’s obviously worse than in the colder months.
“The venue is in a built-up area. It’s not exactly Glastonbury here.”

A source close to the band said: “There is a recycling plant next to the arena that is in the process of moving to a new location. Once the concerts open there won’t be any interference.”
Fans will arrive from around the world to see the holograms of Agnetha, Benny, Anni-Frid and Bjorn.
But fortunately, ABBA will not have to suffer from any potential whiffs outside the stadium as they are not appearing in person.
The Swedish quartet, now all in their 70s — whose many hits include Voulez-Vous — turned down offers to perform together again.
But it is thought they may attend the first night on May 27 at the Abba Arena near the site of the 2012 Olympic Games.

Speaking about their return to making music, Bjorn, 76, said that the two former married couples were “getting along very well”.
