IT'S one of the hottest awards ceremony of the year and the celebrities did not disappoint as they hit the red carpet at this year's 68th Primetime Emmy Awards.
Heidi Klum continues to defy her age with a stunning cutaway gown that showed off her slender arms and toned stomach, with a dangerously high thigh split accentuating her enviably toned legs.
Emily Ratajkowski wore a stunning dark blue, figure-hugging gown and attended the event with fashion designer Zac Posen.
The actress and model is frequently wears the designers clothes, and tonight was no exception as she smouldered on the runway next to the smartly dressed hunk.
Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery looked absolutely flawless in a white, ruffled dress with black trim, and appeared to resembled classic beauty Katherine Hepburn with a simple red lip and flowing curls in her hair.
Game of Thrones beauties Sophie Turner and Gwendoline Christie stuck with twists on the classic black dress, with Gwendoline wearing a strapless, knee length dress and appearing miles away from her warrior counterpart, Brienne of Tarth.

Sophie wore a black leotard under a floor-length sheer black dress with floral detailing, and showed off her newer blond look after years of being known as the flame haired Sansa Stark.
Meanwhile, Modern Family on-screen sisters Ariel Winter and Sarah Hyland arrived at the event together- with beautiful Ariel going for a classic look with simple make-up and up 'do.
Ariel appeared to take inspiration from Kylie Jenner in her outfit choice of a sparkling silver, see-through gown with diamante embellishments - the same dress worn by the Kardashian sister just weeks before.
Sarah's outfit was a more bold choice, with black leggings underneath a cream Monique Lhuillier corset with a draping back and silver heels.
Modern Family is up for best comedy series again this year.
American TV personalities Guiliana Rancic and Tori Kelly were the first to arrive on the carpet, with aides helping Giuliana Rancic with her netted baby pink train that matched her long-sleeved gown.
Singer Tori Kelly radiated with classic beauty with long wavy curls and silver accessories as she arrived at the event.
Padma Laksmi covered up for the event in a long-sleeved, floor-length sequinned gown.
Downtown Abbey's Laura Carmichael wore a statement lilac and canary yellow ensemble, as the TV show is in the running to take home the Best Drama series award.
The period piece will be up against Game of Thrones, House of Cards, and new online favourite Mr. Robot.
Laura's co-star Dame Maggie Smith is up for the Supporting Actress category for the show as well.

Anna Chulmsky, whose show Veep is up for a series of awards, wore a unique, puffy pink, thigh-high dress with long train.
