X Factor’s Matt Terry on being compared to Louis Tomlinson and Olly Murs

X FACTOR hopeful Matt Terry's feet haven't quite touched the ground after making through bootcamp, but with comparisons to Olly Murs and One Direction's Louis Tomlinson, it looks like the hunk could be set to go a long way in the competition.

Speaking to The Sun Online, the 23-year-old said: "I think just being compared to those two are great.

After his first audition on the show, judge Simon Cowell declared himself a fan and likened him to former X Factor cheeky chappie Olly.

But meanwhile, Twitter was going crazy as viewers of the ITV talent show couldn't believe Matt's likeness to the 1D star.

Matt laughed: "It was really ironic because everyone was talking about Louis, and Simon was like he’s like Ollie!"

But he added: "It feel crazy, I can't believe that this is happening to somebody like me and to hear all their comments and positivity - I feel so blessed and so grateful."

And it looks like Matt is also embracing the weirder aspects of his step into the limelight.

On the tweets and messages he receives, he revealed: "I either get ones that are super normal, or ones that are like ‘OMG, it’s Louis!’ and then there's like a picture of his baby and I'm next to it and it said - 'This is #Freddie now – how old does this make you feel?'

"It’s so funny, but I'm having lots of fun with it."
