X Factor comeback contestant Anelisa Lamola lost confidence after suffering from online ‘trolling’ back in 2007
She was only 17 when she failed to make it through to the Live stages
X FACTOR contestant Anelisa Lamola first appeared as a contestant way back in 2007 when she was just 17 - but it's taken almost 10 years for her to try again because of the online trolling she suffered after being on the show.
Speaking on This Morning, she revealed that she had "lost [her] confidence" after being given the boot the first time: "I think after doing The X Factor and then becoming [somebody that] everybody knows... when I was 17."
She added that it also made her realise that she "didn't know so much about music and that she "needed to go away and learn".
Anelida admitted: "I thought I knew everything about music... but I didn't know much".
Speaking further about waiting a long time to return, she said: "I went into really hard times in terms of I lost my confidence at that time because there was a lot of, you know, trolling online and I wasn't ready for that at 17."
She added: "I think I just needed to find myself and figure out who I was."
Last night's episode saw her sail through to the Six Chair Challenge after belting out a rendition of Work from Home by Fifth Harmony.

She also felt pressured to "up [her] game because of the stiff competition.
Anelisa also found the Six Chair Challenge, which she didn't go through last time, incredibly tough: "I just remember thinking that 5,00 people are going to help judge me."
Rylan admitted that "they were very baying".
