LOOSE Women host Andrea McLean has revealed she’s having a hysterectomy on Thursday.
At the end of the show, Andrea, opened up about the procedure when her co-panellist Linda Robson said Andrea was having some time off.
Andrea said: “Just to let you know, don't worry if you don't see me for the next month or so, I'm actually going to be off at home and I'm having hysterectomy tomorrow.
Andrea said she’d be taking a “month or so” off to recover from the operation.
After she told the Loose Women audience, Saira Khan jumped to give Andrea a hug as the audience waved her off.
Andrea is a mum to teenager Findlay and Amy.
The Loose Women has been open previously about her struggle to conceive after she was diagnosed with endometriosis aged 28.
Andrea said: “I ended up having fertility treatment to have Finlay.
“Usually having endometriosis stops you getting pregnant but if you do then it increases the chance of having a child naturally, which was what happened with my second, Amy.
She added: “So now I have two and I am very happy and very lucky.”
Messages of support poured in following Andrea's announcement.
