Does Jamie Dornan’s serial killer character Paul Spector finally get his comeuppance in the next series of The Fall?
JAMIE Dornan’s evil character Paul Spector has wreaked havoc over the past two series of The Fall.
The serial killer’s reign of terror has seen multiple women murdered with sickening violence.
But, after leaving fans on a cliffhanger back in 2014, The Sun Online can exclusively reveal one of the characters in series three commits suicide.
34-year-old Jamie has already confirmed he’s not coming back for the next series.
He said: “There's a little bit of devastation for me, I have to say.
“It's a job that means a lot to me, and a character that I really love playing, and a group of people that have become family over four and a half years, so it's very bittersweet
“It's like a support blanket that someone's taking away from you – quite abruptly.”
Series two ended when Gillian Anderson’s character Detective Stella Gibson was seen cradling Spector on the floor.
Colin Morgan, who plays DS Tom Anderson, is lying next to Spector and it soon becomes clear both have been shot.
Details about of series three had been closely guarded, with viewers only knowing that this series will pick up from where the last ended, with Spector fighting for his life.
The suicide revelation came to the light after the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) released their age suitability ratings for the next instalment of the hit BBC series.
Each episode has been giving a 15 rating, apart from episodes five and six which have been given an 18.
As part of their classification, The BBFC then revealed that in episodes five and six, one of the characters in The Fall commits suicide.
The Fall returns to BBC Two on Thursday, 29 September at 9pm.
