Michelle Keegan reveals her body is ‘run down’ after spending months filming Our Girl and Tina & Bobby
The former Coronation Street actress said she's looking forward to a few weeks off
MICHELLE Keegan has been having an incredible year and landed some big acting roles but now the actress says she is "run down" and her body "needs a break".
The brunette beauty has had a stream of high profile jobs since leaving Coronation Street, including BBC drama Our Girl and ITV's Tina & Bobby.
However, months spent filming around the world have left her feeling tired and Michelle says she's looking forward to a break.
Writing in her , she said: "I’m starting to feel a bit better, as I have been battling a bad cold this last week or so.
"I do tend to get them when I am working a lot, or when I am run down. I remember I had a dreadful cold after I finished working on Coronation Street.
"I think my body just says 'give me a break!' so I have been doing that, and stocked up on vitamins, had lots of sleep and am eating healthy food. I am definitely feeling a lot more ‘me’ now.
"In fact I am feeling so much more myself, that here I am on my first trip back to the gym!"
The 29-year-old has had a whirlwind six months that saw her filming war scenes in South Africa and then jetting back to Manchester to don 60s attire to play Tina Moore, in the drama about famous footballer Bobby.
Now she's wrapped filming, Michelle says she's looking forward to taking some time for herself and hitting the gym.
She continued: "I’m pretty quiet on the work front for a while, so I now have the time to train 3-4 times a week and I am doing this because it makes me feel good, plus eating healthy will boost my immune system after my lurgy.
Having some down time also means Michelle can spend some time with her family and her hubby Mark Wright.
Now she's back in the UK for a bit, she had a surprise visitor.
She said: "This weekend my brother Andrew came down to stay with us in Essex and we went for a slap up Sunday lunch.
"I actually didn’t know he was coming, so it was a bit of a surprise, but a lovely one all the same as I don’t get to see as much of my bro as I would like."
Meanwhile, Michelle has had such success with her performance in the new series of Our Girl that viewers believe she is set for Hollywood.
The gripping drama sees the Manchester lass play Lance Corporal Georgie Lane who travels to Kenya as part of a peace keeping mission.
Viewers have been hooked by her performance with many saying she's destined to make it big.
