Dalai Lama talks Twitter rivalry with Kim Kardashian to Good Morning Britain
The sage monk had the perfect comeback
THE Dalai Lama had the perfect comeback when asked by Piers Morgan on Good Morning if reality TV star Kim Kardashian having four times more followers on social media than him worried him.
The sage 81-year-old monk replied: “Why? If she have more followers, good, no problem."
“Such famous people. I think, no ability to compete [with] my wisdom.”

While the Dalai Lama may have taken Kim K beating him in the online stakes on the chin, it seemed like the Twitterverse were less than impressed.
Twitter user @originalashcole wrote: “Really, asking the Dalai Lama if he was bothered if Kim Kardashian had more followers, show some respect!”
@marmalade254 meanwhile was keen to see the issue rectified.
She tweeted: “Let’s get @DalaiLama to have more followers than @Kim Kardfashian,” along with the hashtag “follow inspiration”.
As some even pointed the finger of blame at 51-year-old broadcaster Piers.
Retweeting the broadcaster, @QueenCleo_92 asked: “Why can’t Piers stop talking about Kim Kardashian??”
His Holiness also offered his thoughts on the news that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are divorcing.
He said: “[It’s] sad. Sometimes divorced people, it’s the children, they come closer to their father or mother. Sometimes difficult.”
Brangelina sent shockwaves through the showbiz world when The Sun exclusively revealed that the pair were to split after 12 years together including two years married.
The former couple share six children together - Maddox, 15, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, Pax, 12 and eight-year-old twins, Knox and Vivienne.
