WILL HE QUIT NEXT? Paul Hollywood spotted sneaking out of Channel 4 HQ back door after ‘secret meeting’ just hours before Mary Berry quits GBBO
The channel are believed to be keen to have the silver-haired fox stay on the show
PAUL Hollywood could be on the verge of quitting the Great British Bake Off just hours after fellow judge Mary Berry did the same.
The silver-haired fox was seen sneaking out of Channel 4’s back door yesterday where he believed to be in talks with Channel 4 bosses.
They are keen to keep the 50-year-old on as one of the judges when the show makes the switch next year.
He gave the biggest hint that he would leave the show if it moved channels earlier this year when he appeared on an episode of Top Gear.
He told host Chris Evans: “It’s not up to us, it's up to the production company, but as far as Mary, Mel, Sue and myself are concerned we want to stay on the BBC.”
But he had yet to make an official announcement about his future plans and when the news broke that Channel 4 had snapped up the show, he coyly said: “It’s not my call. I work for Love Productions. I work for the Bake Off. I’m just a judge.”
