Katie Price hits back at critics who attack her parenting skills on This Morning
Katie said it's unfair Princess and Junior have had their Instagram accounts removed
KATIE Price has hit back at critics who have slammed her parenting style saying other celebrities like Victoria Beckham don’t get half as much flack.
The TV personality appeared on This Morning to discuss her new book and spoke about the controversy surrounding her son Junior, 11 and daughter Princess, nine, being allowed to have Instagram accounts.
Speaking on This Morning, she said it was unfair that critics are targeting their profiles.
She said: “It doesn’t upset me, it upset the kids because all of their friends are on Instagram and a lot of them have open accounts.
“So with Junior, I’ve tried twice and they’ve taken it down but Princess’s is still up. They keep getting reported…I think the age limit is 13.
“But why do they pick on my kids? They don’t pick on anyone else’s kids and it’s the same if they do work or wear make-up.
“They don’t pick on J Lo, Victoria Beckham, they always pick on mine.”
Katie is mum to Harvey, 14, Junior, 11, Princess, 9, Jett, 3, and 2-year-old Bunny and says they only take on work they want to do.
She explained: “Any work that comes in, I ask them if they want to do it or not.
“They’ve got a bank account with all their money in it, I don’t let them touch it.
“Princess has a project coming out next year and they do TV stuff but the thing is I do let them grow up like normal kids.
“But why not let them do a modelling job? There’s loads of child models but just because mine want to do it, then why do I get picked on and no one else does?”
Katie is known for her love of cosmetic surgery and Ruth quizzed her about how she would feel if Princess wanted to get “a boob enlargement or botox aged 16”.
The former glamour model, who has had 11 boob jobs this year alone, insisted her children would have no interest in it.
She said: “They are sick of surgery, they’re always like ‘mum what are you doing now?’ Because they obviously see me at home when I can’t move and I’m asking them to pass me things.
“And they’re like ‘mum, you don’t even need it!’ So they won’t be interested in it.”
