Tim Westwood QUITS Capital Xtra after being accused of being a ‘sexual predator’ and ‘flashing & groping victims’
TIM Westwood has stepped down from his Capital Xtra radio show after he was accused of multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.
The ex-Radio 1 DJ has been accused of abusing his position in the music industry to exploit women by "flashing and groping" them.
Westwood, 64, has vehemently denied the claims and none of his accusers are believed to have reported their allegations to police.
He today stepped down from his show at Capital Xtra in the wake of the claims.
Global, who own the radio station, said: "Following the claims that have recently come to light, Tim Westwood has stepped down from his show until further notice."
Westwood has currently presents a weekly slot on a Saturday for Capital Xtra.

It is the latest blow to his career after the seven women told of the alleged abuse between 1992 and 2017 to and .
DJ sets at the Rum Rum nightclub in Birmingham and Butlins in Bognor Regis have been axed.
The events page listed on Westwood's website has also been removed.
His alleged victims' stories featured on BBC Three documentary, Tim Westwood: Abuse of Power, which aired last night.
One, who was 17 and the member of an R&B group when she met Westfield, claimed he performed a sex act on her.
She told how the DJ - then aged in his mid-30s - had "absolute power" at the time.
Another claimed she was "frozen with fear" when the DJ allegedly assaulted her.
The celeb is the son of former Anglican Bishop of Peterborough Bill Westwood.
He rose to fame hosting the first nationally-broadcast rap show on UK radio from 1994.
Westwood has won a number of MOBO awards and hosted the UK version of Pimp My Ride.
In 1999, he was seriously hurt in a drive-by shooting.

A statement from Westwood's rep said: "In a career that has spanned 40 years, there have never been any complaints made against him officially or unofficially.
