Lucy Mecklenburgh forced to cancel baby shower last minute as fiancé Ryan reveals baby could come any day now
LUCY Mecklenburgh has been forced to cancel baby shower last minute as fiancé Ryan revealed their newborn could come “any day” now.
Ryan – who is set to appear on ITV’s The Games – said he hopes Lucy doesn’t give birth during his stint on new show.
“Well the problem we’ve got is my wife-to-be is due anytime so I’m hoping it doesn’t come between the show,” the 37-year-old actor said on Good Morning Britain today.
Meanwhile Lucy, who is already mum to Roman, two, and is expecting a baby girl in late Spring, admitted that she has no plans to throw a baby shower ahead of her due date.
The former Towie star, 30, said her sister was in process of organising a garden party this weekend but the rainy forecast had ruined their plans.
Alongside the gloomy weather update, Lucy wrote: “Bye bye baby shower!

“I wasn’t sure whether to do a baby shower but my sister was organising one in my garden Sunday but then the weather changed. Gutted!!!!”
Ryan also discussed training for the new show and admitted: “The guys, the celebrities are fantastic and they’ve all made massive progress and I’m really proud of them.
“But, yeah it’s so hard the coaches are just filling you with so much information all the time.”
It comes after Lucy opened up about how much weight she has gained during her pregnancy with her second child.
The fitness influencer was asked how weight she has put on during a Q&A on Instagram.
Sharing a photo of herself looking incredible as she bared her growing bump, Lucy responded: “I wasn’t sure whether to answer this question or not but actually I think it is important to discuss how normal it is to gain weight in pregnancy.”
She continued: “It’s healthy and inevitable to put on weight during pregnancy. I’ve gained 3 stone so far. Which is apparently wayyy more than the NHS say is healthy which shocked me a little.”
She then revealed that she gained even more weight when she was carrying Roman.
“When pregnant with Romano it was 5 stone, ” she said. “I am not restricting myself while pregnant but equally I don’t believe you need to eat for 2!”
Lucy recently told her followers that it was “not long now” until she met her next bundle of joy.
