As Denise reveals she’s pregnant with Phil Mitchell’s baby, EastEnders viewers are more shocked by the fact that she’s 47

EASTENDERS favourite Denise Fox revealed to Masood Ahmed tonight that she was pregnant with Phil Mitchell’s baby, and while Masood was certainly shocked by her revelation, viewers were far more distracted by the fact that Denise said she was 47-years-old.

While some fans were loving Masood’s surprise over Phil had getting Denise pregnant, far more couldn’t get over the fact that she was approaching 50, and took to Twitter to air their shock and admiration.

Responding to the fact that Denise was worried that she would be mistaken for her baby’s nan, one tweeter said: “The fact Denise is 47 and looks 37 I don't think people would think she's the babies nan tbh #eastenders”, and another said, “So Denise is 47 then? Would never have known #eastenders”

And others remarked how actress Diane Parish looks the same as when she was on The Bill years ago, “How is Denise 47? #DianeParish looks the same as she did when she was in The Bill.”

While others just thought the actress simply looks amazing and would quite like to be like her, posting: “Denise looks amazing for 47,” and “I hope I look as good at 47 as Denise does”

Fans were also left in disbelief earlier this month when it was revealed that Denise was carrying Phil Mitchell’s baby after they had a drunken one night stand.

Viewers quickly took to Twitter in their droves to share their outrage as one wrote –and made a guess to the baby’ sex – “Denise is carrying Phil Mitchell’s son? Yep, EastEnders has officially lost it.”
