Oasis legend Liam Gallagher is quitting booze ahead of his two mammoth Knebworth shows next month

HE’S one of the most notorious hell-raisers in music but Liam Gallagher is finally ready to rein in his wild antics . . . at least for a few weeks.

I can reveal the Oasis legend is quitting booze for a month ahead of his two mammoth Knebworth shows next month.

Liam says going teetotal for a few weeks will mean his voice is at its best for his fans.

Since he went solo after the band split in 2009, his career has gone Supersonic, and the upcoming gigs will be the biggest he has ever played under his own name.

In total, 160,000 fans will see the two shows on June 3 and 4 at Knebworth House, the Hertfordshire stately home where Oasis famously played two sold-out nights way back in 1996.

Liam, who recently admitted he needs a double hip replacement, said: “I’ve got a month to prepare for Knebworth so I’m going to stay out of trouble, stay in the house, chill out, eat well, do some exercise, and not drink alcohol or do any of that nonsense.

“As you get older you’ve got to prepare right for these gigs.

“You can’t be going there like you’re 20 otherwise it’ll sound s**t and people pay a lot of money, so I’ve got to prepare right.”

However, promising that he has not curbed his wild ways for ever, the Champagne Supernova rocker added: “There’s plenty of time to get p***ed and get high, do that later on.”

Despite his bravado, Liam admits he is stunned that he is still able to command such a turnout, so far into his career.

He said: “It’s amazing that I’m still doing that stuff at 50 and that people still want to come and see me.

“It’s going to be different, it’s going to be amazing, it’s going to be biblical, the weather is going to be amazing. Obviously it’s not Oasis but I’ll be playing Oasis songs, we’re going to come at it from a different angle and I can’t wait, man.

“If people want it, then they’re going to get it, it’s as simple as that.

“People bought the tickets so you’ve got to do the gigs. I can’t wait, it’s going to be mega.”

Liam is one of music’s true greats and his songs have been the soundtrack to many of my nights out.

I have no doubt the shows will be, as he says, biblical.

Candy-coloured

BELLA Hadid has got me tasting the rainbow – and there’s not even a packet of Skittles in sight.

The supermodel posed for a series of candy-coloured snaps after being announced as a brand ambassador for jewellers Swarovski.

And the catwalk queen looks a gem in each one.

PERRIE Edwards’s footballer boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had better take the hint – she’s ready to walk down the aisle.

The Little Mix singer admitted she was “jealous” of two fans who got engaged at the group’s concert at Manchester’s AO Arena on Saturday night, during a performance of their track Secret Love Song.

Perrie, who has a son named Axel with the Liverpool midfielder – her partner of five years  – said: “I’m ever so slightly jealous, just saying. Honestly guys, I love love.”

Bandmate Jade Thirlwall tearfully added: “What a moment. How am I going to sing now?”

In just a week, the hit girl group will start their hiatus after 11 years together – yet their current tour is their best so far and is packed with their biggest hits, energetic dancing and incredible staging.

Even so, the show has been causing headaches for Jade, who revealed the dance moves during Touch often make her fear she could flash the audience.

Referring to her boobs, she said: “I’m always scared one is going to pop out at some point.

“Now you know about the behaviour of our breasts, let’s move                            on.”

The singer will voice a new character in Kung Fu Panda spin-off The Dragon Knight on Netflix.

Rita will star alongside comedy hero Jack Black when the animated movie drops in the summer.

I told earlier this year how Rita is deep into recording her long-awaited third album.

The record, her first since 2018’s Pheonix, is due out before the end of the year.

Sam's fears

SAM Fender's career has gone from strength to strength, but he says he once feared he would never sing again after a vocal cord haemorrhage.

The two-time Brit Award winner said he felt like he had been stabbed in the throat, during a performance at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in 2019.

He explained: “I did that gig and my voice . . . it was like glass, like someone was stabbing us in the throat when I was trying to sing Hypersonic Missiles, which is a high song.

“It was a nightmare. I came off stage, I couldn’t talk and that was when it was like, boom. Done.”

Geordie Sam described how his performance in Middlesbrough felt like “a proper nail in the coffin”.

He underwent an examination which found a haemorrhage and the formation of a growth, known as a polyp, on his vocal cords.

That is something that stars including Adele and Sam Smith have needed surgery for in the past.

Lost Frequencies playing at Dubai's Five Palm Jumeirah hotel

Speaking on the Hide And Speak podcast, he said: “I literally shut the f*** up for a month. I locked myself away – like full silence for a month – in my mum’s flat and just literally switched off.”

Lost's eye on Dubai

FOLLOWING the success of his breakaway hit, Where Are You Now, with Calum Scott, Belgian star Lost Frequencies is heading to Dubai.

The DJ, who bagged a No1 with Are You With Me, will play the Five Palm Jumeirah hotel next Thursday as he joins other DJs including Morten at the venue.

Speaking about Where Are You Now, which peaked at No3 in the charts, he said: “Usually, I start a track and finish within a week. But with Where Are You Now, there was so much back and forth, which was a different process for me.

“It’s inspired me to take more time than I usually do. I think I’m getting older.”

Lift the lid

AFTER being gagged by a conservatorship for more than a decade, Britney Spears is ready to lift the lid on her life.

The singer has confirmed her tell-all book will be out before the year is up.

After that, Britney says she might not do a screen interview for another ten years.

She wrote: “With all the offers of money to tell my side of the story, I said, ‘Just do a book’. The easiest way possible and considering my fear of people, I might have to write them off for the decade.

“Sitting down and sharing my story might not be the safest thing for anyone.

“Once it’s released I’m not sure what’s gonna happen, folks.”
