Richard Arnold's showbiz section left viewers confused on Monday morning
GOOD Morning Britain viewers were left baffled this morning during a showbiz segment on Robbie Williams.
As Richard Arnold revealed all about the She's the One singer’s upcoming album and collaboration with Killers frontman Brandon Flowers, eagle-eyed viewers noticed a slight blunder.
While discussing the duet, the show mistakenly flashed a portrait of Panic! At The Disco singer Brendon Urie instead.
Talking about Robbie’s upcoming plans, Richard said: “Robbie announced his first solo album in three years during the ad breaks of last night’s X Factor.
“The album is called the Heavy Entertainment Show and is out on 4 November .
“There’ll be collaborations with Ed Sheeran and The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers."
Noticing the error, Twitter user Looren Ann wrote: “Brandon and Brendon look a bit different."
Responding to GMB’s official account directly, another viewer wrote: “@GMB did you mean to show Brendon Urie? Or did you think he was Brandon Flowers??”
Branding the blunder a “fail,” Keyleigh Tiernan tweeted: “The photo who showed on TV was Brendon Urie from panic! At the disco.. not Brendan Flowers.”
Another viewer wrote: “@GMB your entertainment bit about Robbie Williams, the picture you put up was Brendon Urie, not Brandon Flowers too early to be confused!”
Although the singers may share a resembling first name – that’s where the similarities end.
Brendon, 29, is the Utah born frontman of Panic! At The Disco who rocked the underground world in 2004 with the release of their debut album A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out – which later led them to mainstream success and millions of sales.
Whereas Brandon Flowers, 35, has been in the spotlight since The Killers first started conquering the charts in 2001.
