AS the nights draw in and the weather turns cold, Amazon Prime’s newest offerings are enough to make those cosy nights in even more appealing.
The video service is giving subscribers two new gripping drama series as well as debuting its original film Complete Unknown.
GOLIATH
When is it on? Goliath can be viewed on Amazon Prime from October 14
What season are we up to? This is the very first season and was commissioned with a straight-to-series order of 10 episodes
Who is in it? The show stars Billy Bob Thorton (Monster’s Ball, Bad Santa, Armageddon), William Hurt (Broadcast News, The Village, Captain America: Civil War), Maria Belo (Coyote Ugly, ER, The 5th Wave) and Harold Perrineau (Lost, 28 Weeks Later, Romeo and Juliet).
What’s it about? Set in Los Angeles, Thornton stars as Billy McBride, once one of the country’s best trial lawyers, but now washed up and disgraced and a drunk. He reluctantly agrees to take on a wrongful death case against the biggest client of Cooperman & McBride, the firm he created and was expelled from, he and his motley crew of a team uncover a huge and deadly conspiracy.
GOOD GIRLS REVOLT
When is it on? Good Girls Revolt can be viewed from October 28, but the pilot episode is available to watch now.
What season are we up to? This is the very first season and consists of eight episodes.
Who is in it? Anna Camp (True Blood, Pitch Perfect), Genevieve Angelson (House of Lies), Jim Belushi (K-9, Curly Sue, Snow Dogs).
What’s it about? Set in New York in 1969, it follows a group of young female researchers at News of the Week.

It is based on the true story of award winning journalist Lynn Povich, who, along with 46 other women, sued Newsweek for sex discrimination.
It was a ground-breaking case which allowed women to take on the role of reporter and culminated in Povich becoming the first ever female senior editor for the magazine. In 2012 Povich wrote a book titled The Good Girls Revolt about the case and how it changed the face of journalism which inspired this dramatisation.
