Who is Rosie Ramsey and what is she famous for?

Rosie Ramsey, born August 30, 1986, in South Shields, Wales, is a popular podcaster, author, and television presenter.

She is best known for co-hosting the smash hit podcast, Sh**ged Married Annoyed, alongside her comedian husband, Chris Ramsey.

The podcast, which first aired in February 2019 and has since attracted over millions of downloads, won both the Global Best Podcast award and the British Podcast Listeners’ Choice award in 2020.

At the end of 2021, the pair toured their smash hit podcast in Arenas across the UK.

Chris and Rosie’s live tour broke the record for the world’s biggest live podcast audience ever.

The duo sold out their hometown of Newcastle’s Utilita Arena, as well as selling out their whole tour within just 60 minutes of going on sale.

In addition to her podcasting career, Rosie’s on-screen credits include interviewing WWE superstar John Cena and Hollywood actress Leslie Mann for The Chris Ramsey Show on Comedy Central.

The presenter has also appeared on TV titles such as The Sara Cox show, Alan Carr’s Epic Game Show, Married to a Celebrity: A Survival Guide and Parenting for Idiots, The Chris and Rosie Ramsey Show, the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special, as well as co-hosting a drive-time show on Capital Radio.

How long has she been married to Chris Ramsey and how did they meet?

Rosie and Chris first met when they were teenagers and married in 2014.

During this time, Rosie was a singer in a girl group while Chris was just kicking off his stand-up comedy career.

I don’t think many marriages have as many highs as we have.

Speaking to Living North, Rosie explained: “Chris and I have known each other since we were 14 years old.

“We went to different schools, and we used to play out in the same street, and then we went to the same college.

“So we’ve always known each other. Then we met properly on a night out and it went from there, the rest is history.”

During an exclusive interview with The Sun in May 2023, the couple shared a glimpse into their married life – and the secret to keeping the romantic spark alive.

Revealing the secret, Rosie laughed: ‘’Just getting drunk,’’ while Chris agreed: “Couldn’t have put it better myself.”

Rosie continued: “It might not be the best to be laughing about because we’ve got two young kids — but it’s having nice times together, realising we’re so lucky, just laughing at the stress, and making a bit of an effort with each other.

”We make each other laugh, and that’s key.”

Chris added: “We’re affectionate, too. We’re always hugging and kissing. Hey, we held hands walking around London the other night.”

The pair also explained that oversharing with the nation has done wonders for their relationship – but when it comes to plotting their future, they admitted that they were “winging it”.

Chris continued: “The best way I can describe it is we’ve jumped on a rollercoaster and we’re riding it, and we’ll see what happens.

“If we’d sat down at the beginning when we were recording the first episode of the podcast and said, ‘Oh, the plan for this podcast is all of these things . . . ’ people would have thought we’d lost our minds. But it’s all happened, it’s crazy, we’re just going to enjoy it.”

Meanwhile, Rosie said: “I don’t think many marriages have as many highs as we have.”

How many children do Rosie and Chris have?

Chris and Rosie share two sons together, Robin and Rafe.

They welcomed Robin a year after they tied the knot in 2014.

After trying for another baby, Rosie opened up about suffering a miscarriage 12 weeks into her pregnancy.

Speaking to Vicky Pattison on her podcast in 2020, she said: “I found out at the 12-week scan I’d actually lost the baby.

“It’s called a blighted ovum which is a missed miscarriage… honestly, I don’t want to sound dramatic, but it was one of the worst things that have ever happened in my life.”

Not too long after speaking out about her miscarriage, Rosie gave birth to the couple’s second son, Rafe, in January 2021.
