Jamie Theakston shows off his new buff body after incredible six month transformation in topless photoshoot
Radio presenter followed a strict diet and fitness regime for Men's Fitness Magazine
FORMER Live & Kicking TV presenter Jamie Theakston has gone from flab to fab in these incredible before and after pictures.
The 45-year-old, who hosts the popular Heart FM Breakfast Show, reveals his buff new body in the latest issue of Men's Fitness Magazine after undergoing an intense six month fitness regime to get in shape.
In the accompanying interview, Jamie reveals how he spent years coasting along at a healthy weight, before suddenly realising it was a struggle to find clothes which would fit his 38 inch waist.
He said: "I didn't know the difference between protein and carbohydrate. I've never taken much notice.
"I'd be in the studio at 5am, then I'd have a breakfast at 6.30 and maybe another one at 8.30, and it was sausage or bacon sandwiches, tonnes of coffee… looking back it's kind of shocking.
But after learning about nutrition, overhauling his diet and taking up a hard core work out regime, the father-of-two thinks he is now in the best shape of his life.
He added: "You see it in the little things, like running upstairs: a year ago, I was carrying an extra three stone up.
"I feel brighter, my complexion's better, all of those things."
The transformation is clear to see in Jamie's before and after pictures, with his defined pecs and abs on full display as he stands with his hands proudly placed on his hips.
Heart Radio were quick to congratulate the DJ on his achievements, posting the snap on Instagram alongside the caption: "Wow! @jamie.theakston! What a transformation!"
The station also shared his before shot, captioning it: "6 months ago, @jamie.theakston looked like THIS... Today he's a magazine cover star! Watch this space!"
Jamie's Breakfast co-host, former Spice Girl Emma Bunton, also showed her appreciation for her friend's hard work by reposting the shots on her own account.
