Britney Spears reveals she is “scared” about the speed her kids Sean and Jayden are growing up and dreads teenage years
The superstar also spoke music and single life ahead of her first UK gig in two years at London's Roundhouse
AFTER two years away from the UK, BRITNEY SPEARS fever has swept the nation again.
She capped off the success of her incredible new album, Glory, with a headline set at London’s Roundhouse on Tuesday, watched by a A-list crowd.
Britney threw all the energy she had into the breathtaking show — but only after I got her warmed up.
Before taking to the stage she sat down with me for her first UK interview and her only newspaper chat this year.
Now 34 and a mum of two, Britney revealed she is glad that her turbulent times are behind her.
She told me: “I like my thirties way more than my twenties.
“My twenties were horrible. My teens were fun. But I like my thirties — my thirties are great. You know who you really are.”
Britney isn’t the only one who’s growing up fast — she is understandably worried about her kids Sean and Jayden entering their teens.
She said of the boys, who are 11 and ten, respectively: “It’s a little strange. I’m nervous because I know 12 and 13 and 14 and 15 are going to be really scary.
“I’m going to be like, ‘Mum please come to the house and help me out!’

But no, it’s a great age. They are still babies.”
Britney is really happy with life at the moment — thanks partly to the fact that she is loving being single.
The star, who split from US film and TV producer boss Charlie Ebersol last year, explained: “I am in a really good place right now. I am loving and learning about myself every day and learning who I am.
“It’s awakening, it’s cool. It’s OK to be single — it totally is.”
Britney’s performance at the Apple Music Festival attracted one of the most star-studded audiences of the year, including RITA ORA, DAISY LOWE, LAURA WHITMORE and NICK GRIMSHAW.
But despite being one of the planet’s biggest pop stars she still gets anxious about her ability.
Britney admitted: “I was really nervous because I really took my time with this record.
“I took two and a half years to do it and I worked with the most profound, amazing people. I definitely had the jitters.
"I was like, ‘Oh my God, will people like it? Oh my God.’ But it worked out.”
That’s the understatement of the century.
Harry's high on stage
HARRY STYLES reckons performing in front of thousands of people is a better high than taking drugs.
He made the remark in his first interview since ONE DIRECTION split last year.
Harry said: “Playing these big venues, when you just see a sea of people, that view . . . You stop for a second and wish you could bring all your friends to just stand there with you and see it. It’s unlike anything else.
"There’s no drug you can take that gives you that same high. It’s pretty amazing that it’s a natural thing.”
Harry was interviewed by SIR PAUL McCARTNEY and comedian CHELSEA HANDLER for this month’s edition of arty mag Another Man. But it’s hardly the world’s most riveting chat.
With five years of 1D secrets, you would think he’d have given away a bit more than who his favourite authors are.
Tom's James Bondage
ANY chance TOM HIDDLESTON had of being the next 007 must be over after this cringeworthy photoshoot.
He’s posing in one of the campest outfits I’ve ever seen, and looks anything but Bond-like.
The pics, above and appear in Interview magazine, inset, where Tom is quizzed by BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH.
But the man who plays TV sleuth Sherlock fails to bring up Tom’s battle to play the movie spy or his acrimonious split from TAYLOR SWIFT.
He told Tom: “I’m not going to ask about my friend’s personal life just because there are unsolicited photographs of him and a certain someone.
"I’m not going to get into that. So that door is closed.” Some detective.
James is nuts for Bolt
ONLY JAMES CORDEN could pull off racing USAIN BOLT and reuniting Nineties group BACKSTREET BOYS in one show.
James was left lagging in the race with nine-time Olympic champ Bolt and actor OWEN WILSON, on his Late Late Show.
But he fared much better during a rendition of Everybody with NICK CARTER, AJ McLEAN and co.
Those years of practising in front of the mirror with his hairbrush were worth it.
