Britney Spears reveals she is “scared” about the speed her kids Sean and Jayden are growing up and dreads teenage years
The superstar also spoke music and single life ahead of her first UK gig in two years at London's Roundhouse
AFTER two years away from the UK, BRITNEY SPEARS fever has swept the nation again.
She capped off the success of her incredible new album, Glory, with a headline set at London’s Roundhouse on Tuesday, watched by a A-list crowd.
Britney threw all the energy she had into the breathtaking show — but only after I got her warmed up.
Before taking to the stage she sat down with me for her first UK interview and her only newspaper chat this year.
Now 34 and a mum of two, Britney revealed she is glad that her turbulent times are behind her.
She told me: “I like my thirties way more than my twenties.
“My twenties were horrible. My teens were fun. But I like my thirties — my thirties are great. You know who you really are.”
Britney isn’t the only one who’s growing up fast — she is understandably worried about her kids Sean and Jayden entering their teens.
She said of the boys, who are 11 and ten, respectively: “It’s a little strange. I’m nervous because I know 12 and 13 and 14 and 15 are going to be really scary.
“I’m going to be like, ‘Mum please come to the house and help me out!’
But no, it’s a great age. They are still babies.”
Britney is really happy with life at the moment — thanks partly to the fact that she is loving being single.
The star, who split from US film and TV producer boss Charlie Ebersol last year, explained: “I am in a really good place right now. I am loving and learning about myself every day and learning who I am.
“It’s awakening, it’s cool. It’s OK to be single — it totally is.”
Britney’s performance at the Apple Music Festival attracted one of the most star-studded audiences of the year, including RITA ORA, DAISY LOWE, LAURA WHITMORE and NICK GRIMSHAW.
