‘I can vouch for that’

Holly Willoughby branded a ‘cheap date’ during This Morning wine tasting – and Phillip Schofield agrees

The cheeky comment came after she picked a cheap wine

Laughing at the comments, Holly, 35, responded 'I can cope with that'

HOLLY Willoughby has been labelled a "cheap date" live on air during a wine segment on This Morning.

The blonde presenter was given the title by wine expert Joe Wadsack as they joined Phillip Schofield to discuss celebrity vineyards and wines.

After the mother-of-three opted for one of the less expensive wines on offer, Joe said: "Well that makes you a cheap date, because that's £35."

Rubbing salt into the wound, Phil added cheekily: "I can vouch for that!"

Laughing at the comments, Holly, 35, responded: "I can cope with that."

The pair of presenters are well known for their love of a drink or two.

Earlier this week, Holly and Phil, 54, were on the sofa when they complained a cocktail didn't have enough vodka in it.

Sampling the fruity alcoholic beverage, Holly commented: "It’s rather nice but it’s quite sweet actually, very fruity and lemonady. It doesn’t taste like it’s got much vodka in it."

Phillip immediately added: "It’s not to our standard."
