Ed Sheeran to make 200-mile dash from Capital Summertime Ball after ‘double booking’ gigs

ED SHEERAN will make a 200-mile dash between gigs as he performs for fans at TWO gigs on the same day.

The superstar singer, 31, will open Capital Summertime Ball with Barclaycard today in London’s Wembley Stadium.

Fans were warned to arrive on time to the show for Ed to kick off at 2pm.

He’ll then jet off after “double booking” the gig with his own performance in Manchester this evening.

Ed will perform at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium tonight after entertaining an 80,000-strong crowd at Wembley.

Joining him in the star-studded line-up at the event of the summer includes Harry Styles, David Guetta, KSI, aitch, Anne-Marie, Jax Jones, George Ezra, Becky Hill, Mabel, Joel Corry, Mimi Webb, Tate McRae, Sigala, Gayle, ArrDee, Lauren Spencer-Smith, A1 x J1, Eddie Benjamin, Maisie Peters, Sam Ryder, Nathan Dawe.

The dad of two - whose wife Cherry secretly gave birth last month - is currently travelling the UK on his + - = ÷ x Tour.

Cherry gave birth to a daughter, a sister for first-born Lyra who is two in September.

In a touching announcement, Ed — Britain’s biggest hitmaker — said the couple are “both so in love” with the tot.

He will no doubt be trying to squeeze in as much dad time as possible between entertaining fans at his jam-packed gig schedule.

He cancelled his show on June 2 in Sunderland due to a scheduling conflict but fans could move their ticket to the Friday or Saturday gig, or receive a refund.

The tour will wrap at Wembley Stadium on July 1, completing a five-night run at the iconic venue.

Ed is best known for hits including Shape of You, Perfect and Bad Habits.

He is worth an estimated £250million after selling more than 150million records worldwide.
