THE VIENNESE Waltz proved to be the winning dance on tonight's show after Louise Redknapp and Kevin Clifton topped the leaderboard with a tear-jerking performance of Hallelujah.
The pair scored 32 points of their efforts, sending them soaring to the top of the leaderboard after getting straight eight's from all four judges.
Fans also took to Twitter to praise the pair for their performance, with one calling the dance "so stunning".
Touched Louise wiped away tears at the response from the audience - who gave the Eternal singer a standing ovation at the end of the routine.
Another declared he was fighting back tears, writing: "I'm already welling up, that was a beautiful dance from Louise and Kevin..."
One other fan also insisted the dance was the best of the season so far, tweeting: "First dance this series so far that was actually worth 8's! Well done Louise & Kevin!... #Strictly xx"
Ex-Hollyoaks star Danny Mac joined the pair on the top spot with his dance partner Oti Mabuse following their version of the same dance to 80s anthem Never Tear Us Apart by INXS.
Louise and Kevin topped the leaderboard alongside Danny and Oti for their Viennese Waltzs
However, Ed Balls was left hanging on to his place on the BBC1 show after coming in last for his Charleston to The Banjo's back in town by Alma Cogan.
The energetic dance routine brought out the playful side of the former Chancellor, and was a fan favourite of tonight's show - but earned the lowest points from the judges.
Saturday night's episode of the show was not short of it's break out moments - starting only two dances in when judge Bruno Tonioli laid into fellow judge Craig Revel-Horwood and declared his judgement of Olympian Claudia Fragapane's dance with partner AJ "b*****ks".
Tess Daly later had to apologise for the star's sweary outburst which occured before the watershed.
Will Young was also left in the wars on tonight's show after pulling a muscle live on air during his jive to Rock Around the Clock with dance partner Karen Clifton.
The singer proved himself to be a trooper by sticking around for deliberations, but was then made to seek medical attention and wasn't seen again for the rest of the show.
Greg Rutherford also sent the judges pulses racing following his routine - with the playful judges being won over by his "attractive" bum more than they were his performance.
Tune in to Strictly Come Dancing tomorrow on BBC1 to find out the results of tonight's vote.
