ONE of the X Factor’s Brooks twins was nicked at a New Year party for allegedly beating up his girlfriend, The Sun on Sunday can reveal.

Sweetheart Amelia Clark refused to press charges and he was later released.
The bust-up last New Year’s Eve will concern X Factor bosses who were unaware of it when Josh and twin Kyle auditioned for the ITV talent contest.
Millions saw the clean-cut pair find out from Louis Walsh that they're through to the live rounds.
A show source said of our revelation: “Josh was adamant when quizzed that he had never hit Amelia and that he was the target of malicious rumours.”
Josh said: “A fight broke out between me and another male at a party. Amelia, along with others, tried to break it up.
“She was accidentally knocked in the process.

“It was never my intention to hurt her or put her in danger — and this situation is way out of my character.”
The twins, from Penarth, near Cardiff, have previously spoken of being raised by their gran because their parents were heroin addicts.
It is the second time they have been on The X Factor. In 2014 the pair failed to make it through to the live rounds at age 15.
Josh told at the time how he and his twin learned to sing in church.
He said: “Since we were young we’ve always been into church. It has been a big part of our lives.
“We’ve learnt a lot through church and have performed there a lot.”
