Thousands back petition started by X Factor contestants family to get Honey G booted from show

THE family of X Factor contestant Samantha Atkinson have started a petition to get Honey G booted from the show.

Thousands of outraged viewers have already pledged their support to get “justice” for Samantha, who failed to make the live shows after mentor Sharon Osbourne chose the North London rapper instead.

Samantha’s cousin Yasemin wrote alongside the : “Samantha Atkinson is my cousin and I and thousands of other X factor viewers feel she was robbed of her place on live shows tonight, when Sharon Osbourne gave Honey G one of them places in final 12.

“Let's sign and show X factor bosses and ITV that they have made a huge mistake!!!”

The petition has almost reached its goal of 3,000 supports within 12 hours of being created.

Supporter Julie H wrote: “It's so not right that honey G went through and Samantha didn't!”

Tracey P added: “The X Factor is a joke and will now be watching the BBC on a Saturday night.”

Eileen R raged: “Bring Sam back or this program is heading for the bin not happy.”

Following Sunday’s controversial episode, Samantha told : “I was absolutely distraught, there aren't really any words to describe it.

“But I don't feel like it is the end, it is just the start for me.

“I feel like X Factor has given me a great platform and people now know who I am and what I am about.

“I have got people contacting me offering me help to get my name out there even more and it is great."
