Tom Cruise parties with unlikely celeb pals at Eagles gig in Hyde Park saying ‘I loved every minute’
IT is one of the unlikeliest showbiz trios you can imagine but when Tom Cruise, Glenn Hoddle and Kelly Jones get together, it ends up being a very good party.
The superstar actor, footie pundit and Stereophonics frontman spent Sunday night rocking out to The Eagles in a VIP box at British Summer Time Festival in London’s Hyde Park.
In an exclusive chat after the show, Tom said: “I have loved every minute. They put on an amazing show. The guitar riffs are just excellent.”
I couldn’t agree more, Tom.
‘ON FIRE’
Other guests told me Tom made some of his fans very happy by stopping to talk as he left.
An onlooker said: “Tom was so charming and made a point of talking to as many people as possible.

“He was in a box with Glenn and Kelly for The Eagles and they all got on like a house on fire.
“But once Tom was out and about, there was no stopping him.
“He made a point of saying goodbye to all the traders and stall holders. There were two women running the coffee van in the VIP area who were giddy after he stopped for a chat. Tom was a real gentleman and he was the talk of the night.”
As well as dancing along to the US rock legends, the Top Gun: Maverick star was also seen enjoying American Express’ hospitality at the Rolling Stones set on Saturday.
It was a poignant night for the Eagles, who made a point of paying tribute to late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away suddenly in March.
They played The Boys Of Summer in his memory, with singer Don Henley telling the crowd: “This is for our brother Taylor.”
The group hinted the show in London could be their last in our capital, with Don telling the crowd: “So, this is British Summer Time. In case we don’t pass this way again, I want to thank you all for embracing these songs, taking them into your hearts and your homes. We appreciate it.”
I sincerely hope that isn’t the last we see of them.
STELLA LINE UP FOR A SELFIE
YOU won’t see a starrier snap from Glastonbury than this backstage pic after Sir Paul McCartney's headline set.
His daughter Stella, the fashion designer, shared this photo on Instagram, with the caption: “Bruce and the mosh pit crew.”
With Stella and US rocker Bruce Springsteen, who’d joined her dad on stage, is model-turned-nutritionist Rosemary Ferguson, Kate Moss, Noel Gallagher and a pouting Cara Delevingne.
Given it was Macca who persuaded Bruce and Dave Grohl to fly over to join him for his set, I hope he got the chance for a selfie too.
PUFF AND NONSENSE AS KANYE WANTS TO BE ‘LEGALLY DEAD’
HE’S never short of ridiculous things to say but Kanye West has somehow outdone himself.
The Stronger rapper rambled that he wants to be “declared legally dead for a year” during a strange appearance at the BET Awards in Los Angeles.
Before presenting Sean Combs – aka P Diddy or Puff Daddy – with a Lifetime Achievement award, Kanye said: “I just want to declare myself legally dead for a year but I had to reappear on the scene to honour Diddy.
“I said, ‘I just want to be off the grid’, and Puff is pretty persistent. But I had to think, bro, it’s like, people get amnesia – as I should never have Puff have to ever call more than one time.
“Any of us in this room if Puff ever need us, we need to jump and be there.”
If telling the world you want to be declared wasn’t weird enough, Kanye delivered the speech with his face covered in a black mask and sunglasses.
He wasn’t the only diva making a surprise appearance during the ceremony.
Mariah Carey wowed in a plunging black dress to perform a remix of Latto’s hit Big Energy, while Janet Jackson and Lizzo also dressed to the nines.
Despite being nominated for six awards Doja Cat went home empty-handed, as did Drake and Ari Lennox.
Once again, Kanye, I think it’s best if you stick to making music.
LIFE is just peachy for Kendall Jenner as she showed her basketball ex Devin Booker what he is missing.
The Kardashians sis posted this nude snap online and it is sure to get to him following their split this month.
KACEY CRAZY ABOUT ADELE
COUNTRY music star Kacey Musgraves is blown away after being asked to support Adele this week.
The six-time Grammy winner played Glastonbury’s Other Stage on Sunday and next she will be opening for the Easy On Me singer in London on Friday and Saturday.
She told the crowd: “Anyone coming to Hyde Park to see me and Adele? No big deal . . . That’s some crazy s**t.”
But with plenty of tension in the States, Kacey is considering moving to the UK full time – and taking on an entirely new career.
While performing at Worthy Farm, she joked: “Honestly thinking about not going back to America.
“If anyone knows any positions for a sheep farmer, that sounds pretty f***ing great right now.”
NO SIGN OF OLIVIA'S F.U. TO JUDGES
IT was one of Glastonbury’s standout moments when Olivia Rodrigo called out the names of the Supreme Court judges who overturned US abortion rights.
So no wonder social media is awash with fury after the BBC cut the moment from its coverage of her set on iPlayer.
Olivia made the remarks as she welcomed Lily Allen on to the Other Stage at Worthy Farm to sing her 2009 hit F*** You.
Hopefully the spineless Beeb puts the speech back in.
Until then, Olivia said of the ruling, which means abortion is likely to be banned in around half of the US’s 50 states: “I’m equally as heartbroken over what happened in America yesterday.
“The Supreme Court decided to overturn Roe v Wade, which is a law that ensures a woman’s right to a safe abortion.
“I’m devastated and terrified and so many women and so many girls are going to die because of this. I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of The Supreme Court who have shown us that at the end of the day, they truly don’t give a s**t about freedom.
“This song goes out to the Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh. We hate you.”
Hear, hear.
PET SHOP BOYS H2H2H2H2H2
PET SHOP BOYS have announced a slew of new dates for their sold out Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live tour next year after their barn-storming Glastonbury set.
Four new gigs will kick off at London’s OVO Arena in Wembley on June 17 before shows in Aberdeen on June 21, Liverpool on June 23 and Leeds the following day.
I saw them play Worthy Farm on Sunday and the crowd went wild for their link up with Olly Alexander on Dreamland.
MATT'S BEER DRENCHING
IN Doctor Who, Matt Smith could fly through space and time in a police box and fight off monsters from outer space.
But during a boozy night out at Glastonbury, he was defeated by a barrel of lager – after it exploded in his face.
The actor was in a backstage bar in the early hours of Sunday when the tapping of a beer barrel went wrong, blasting Matt directly in the mush as he queued for drinks.
An onlooker said: “Matt was right at the front of the bar and directly in front of the barrel as they changed it and the next thing anyone knew, he was drenched in booze.
“It practically exploded and covered him in beer, but he was a really good sport and laughed it off.
“He told fellow punters that it had got him ‘right in the kisser’.
“But he even offered to pay for a drink for a barmaid who had also been soaked by the unexpected beer fountain.

“He was drinking tequila and lemonades and buying loads of drinks though, so while the incident gave him a soaking, it didn’t put a dampener on his evening.”
Matt will be looking out for the Tardis the next time a barrel is being tapped in his vicinity.
