Who is Freddy Parker? Meet The X Factor 2016 finalist – here’s what we know
The 18-year-old is set to face the viewing public in the live shows of the talent competition
FREDDY Parker has been one lucky X Factor auditionee.
The 18-year-old has had hit and miss auditions throughout the process - but still struck enough of a chord with mentor Nicole Scherzinger that he was put through to the live finals of X Factor 2016.
Will Freddy keep his cool long enough to get through to the record contract?
Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming teenage heart-throb.
WHO IS FREDDY PARKER?
Kent schoolboy Freddy amazed the judges in his first audition with a performance of Amy Winehouse's Love is a Losing Game.
Nicole has saved him on more than one occasion during his audition process.
After singing a lacklustre version of Calvin Harris's How Deep is Your Love, the Pussycat Doll encouraged him to sing a different song.
He later re-performed his original audition song and the judges reconsidered.
WHAT IS HIS BACKGROUND?
Freddy confessed to The Sun that his luck didn't just lie with the singing competition - and he had evaded going to prison after drink-driving and crashing the car.
He said:“It was such a stupid error of judgement. I was so naive to think I could touch even a bit of alcohol and get behind the wheel of my car.
“I’ve listened to other people’s stories and it horrifies me to think about the damage I could have done.”

WHAT HAVE THE JUDGES SAID?
On his first audition, the judges appeared immediately taken with the singer - with Louis Walsh seen whispering to Sharon Osbourne that he was "very good".
Dubbed "the modest boy with the massive voice", Freddy has been a firm favourite with the judges since day one, which only grew with his version of Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding.
When Nicole told him he had earned a place in the live show, she said: "The first time I ever saw you, I just loved how you sat at your piano with a little ponytail in the middle of your head."
She added: "Freddy, I hope you understand this and where I'm coming from - I need you to get ready because you're coming with me to the live shows."
WHO IS HE COMPETING AGAINST?
Freddy is in the Under 25 boys category and made it through to the live finals alongside Ryan Lawrie and Matt Terry.
Nicole, was is mentoring the category this year, was helped by Calvin Harris in her decision - the first time the show has appeared on the show in seven years after he stormed the stage to mock 2009 contestants Jedward.
Sharon, who is tutoring the Over 25s, picked controversial Honey G, Relly C and Saara Aalto as her three choices for the final.
Simon is looking after the Under 25 girls category and picked Gifty Louise, Samantha Lavery and Emily Middlemas.
Louis, who is in charge of the groups, chose Bratavio, Five After Midnight and Brooks Way.
