Caroline Flack is going on a three-month US trip to ‘find herself’
The TV presenter has jetted off to the US for the start of her lengthy sabbatical where she's planning on finding herself
FORMER Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack has headed to the US for a “break” to find herself.
The Sun Online can exclusively reveal Caroline is taking a three-month sabbatical and wants to use the time away to reconnect with herself.
Caroline hinted to her fans that she was going away for a long time, posting a meme on Saturday with the words: “I do believe it’s time for another adventure.”
The 36-year-old then confirmed she’d landed in Hollywood, captioning the picture: “First stop.”
An insider says: “Caroline’s decided to take a break from work and is going away for three months.
“She’s worked so hard for years and she feels like she needs a break.
“Caroline thinks the break is going to give her time to find herself again. She will have a few meetings while she's out there and is going to back on Love Island next year.
“It’s a bit like what Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran have been doing – Caroline’s using this extended break to recharge her batteries and decide what she wants to do next.”
Caroline left The X Factor in February and said at the time: “I have had a brilliant time working on The X Factor over the last few years, and hosting the main show was just fantastic, I made some amazing friends.
“I'm looking forward to carrying on working with the team over at ITV.”

The presenter continued working as the host of ITV2’s Love Island but, despite strong ratings, she faced criticism from some viewers during this year’s series after she was accused of flirting with contestant Alex Bowen.
A fan tweeted at the time: “The only downfall of #LoveIsland is how terrible Caroline Flack is as a presenter.”
2016 winners Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde later came to Caroline’s defence – slamming claims she’d been inappropriate.
Nathan said: “We're like family on Love Island so Caroline is like an older sister to me, there was no sexual chemistry with anyone else.”
Caroline’s previously hinted she’d be interested in moving into theatre, after revealing she’d love to tread the boards in The West End after winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2014.
She said earlier this year: “I auditioned for [Chicago] last year and they offered me the part, but the timing hasn't worked out yet.
“I'd love to do something like that…I did a bit of musical theatre when I was a kid.”
