Who are 5 After Midnight? X Factor 2016 third place finalists who performed new single on Britain’s Got Talent
Several new faces are heading to the Bay for 2018 - and a few familiar ones are making shock departures
FIVE After Midnight proved their worth on X Factor 2016 after they came third on the hit talent show.
Now they are coming back with album plans, high profile performances - and a new baby to boot. Here's the lowdown...
Who are 5 After Midnight?
Friends Nathan, Kieran and Jordan formed 5AM when they first appeared on the show back at the beginning of September.
They impressed in the first audition with their version of Drake's One Dance, sending them through to bootcamp and beyond.
Since that time, they have proven themselves to be a force to be reckoned with as both singers and dancers.
Member Kieran Alleyne has previously racked up millions of hits on YouTube with his debut solo album, and won acclaim from Radio One before he was even on the SHOW.
He has also performed as young Michael Jackson in the West End show Thriller, and has already received a major label record contract with Virgin Records and Universal.
After being announced as one of the lucky entrants into this year's live show by Louis Walsh, the group decided to rename themselves Five After Midnight.
2016 was the first year that all three groups have chosen to change their names.
How far did 5 After Midnight go on X Factor 2016?
After their initial performance, Simon said strong words when he declared them "the best group he'd ever seen".
The sentiment was similarly echoed by the other judges.
When Louis announced they were going through to the live shows, he said: "Fleur [East] and Alesha [Dixon] were very impressed with your attitude, which is almost as important as great vocals."
He added: "We can only pick acts that we believe in, that will do well in the competition, and I've only got three places."
Louis wept with joy as he told the boys that they were through to his final three.
The boys made it through to the final three- meaning they were able to perform on the live finale at Wembley Arena.
They also got to perform with the 2015 winner of the show, Louisa Johnson in the duet section.
However, they were knocked out in the first round, leaving Saara Aalto to place second and Matt Terry to take home the win.
Despite this, they were still signed to Simon Cowell's record label, Syco.
Who from 5 After Midnight has a child?
Kieran announced he was going to be a dad in the build up to last year’s X Factor final.
But The Sun exclusively revealed how the singer has split from pregnant girlfriend Sophie Johnson just weeks before the baby is due.
Kieran could not see his future with Sophie, who he dated for 16 months, but is intent on still being there for her and their newborn son.
In an exclusive chat, Kieran said: “No matter what our relationship status may be, I still consider Sophie to be my best friend.
“I know she will be the most amazing mother to our son. I’m looking forward to us starting a new chapter together as great friends and committed parents to our baby boy.
“We are both incredibly excited to welcome him into the world together.”
Baby boy Jaxon Alleyne was born on April 7 - and he openly shared pictures on his social media to celebrate the arrival.
