Find out which TV series and movies the family of talented actors starred in
WARWICK Davis is an actor and TV personality who made his breakthrough at the age of 11 as the Ewok Wicket in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.
Behind the scenes he is a father and widower to his late wife Samantha, who sadly passed away in March 2024.
How many children does Warwick Davis have?
Warwick Davis and his wife Samantha shared two surviving children, Harrison and Annabelle.
Their first son, Lloyd, was born in 1991 with both of his parents’ conditions.
Sadly, his lungs were too small to support normal function and he died at just nine days old.
They also lost another son, George, when Samantha suffered a miscarriage at 19 weeks.
Speaking about his lost children, Warwick said: “Prior to Annabelle and Harrison we had a baby boy, Lloyd, who inherited both our conditions… And that is something that proves fatal.
“It’s something that a baby won’t survive.
“But Lloyd, he survived for nine days, but yeah he was beautiful… but it was a tough time. And yeah, we had a stillborn too.”
On March 28, 1997, the pair’s daughter Annabelle was born, making her 27 years old at the time of writing.
She is an actress known for starring in Channel 4‘s Hollyoaks as Lacey Lloyd since 2023.
Annabelle featured in CBBC‘s The Dumping Ground (2015-22) as Sasha Bellman.
She also played Mims Ufgood in the TV series of Willow (2022-23) — the ’80s movie that made her father famous.
Their son Harrison was born in 2003, making him around 21 years old — but his exact date of birth is not in the public domain.
He is also an actor, having appeared in TV series Dwarves Assemble (2013) and Moley (2021), as well as playing Pommet Warwick in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019).
Both children have SED, inherited from their parents.
Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita (SED) is a rare disorder of bone growth that results in dwarfism, characteristic skeletal abnormalities, and occasionally problems with vision and hearing.
Who was Warwick Davis’ wife, Samantha?
Samantha Davis was an actress known for her roles in Through The Dragon’s Eye (1989), ShortFellas (1999) and Honky Sausages (1999).
She suffered from achondroplasia — a bone growth disorder that causes disproportionate dwarfism.
The actress was struck down by sepsis back in 2019.
Warwick exclusively told The Sun that her health dramatically declined ahead of a family caravan holiday.
She’d put all the symptoms down to over-exerting herself while she was preparing for the trip. Warwick called an out-of-hours doctor.
Warwick recalled: “By now, Sam was feeling absolutely terrible.
“She was becoming drowsy, weak and hadn’t been to the toilet in over 24 hours.
“Fortunately for us, our doctor recognised Sam’s symptoms and told us to head to A&E immediately with a suspected case of sepsis.”
She was hospitalised with sepsis, meningitis and strep B infections.
Sepsis is an infection that causes the body’s immune system to go into overdrive and attack tissues and organs, which can lead to amputations and even death.
On March 24, 2024, Samantha passed away at the age of 53.
