Peter Andre says he’s becoming “less strict” as his older kids, Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, grow up.
The 49-year-old singer, who has said a firm “no” to daughter Princess going on Love Island, said there is one ITV reality show he wouldn’t mind the kids going on.
Peter was joined by wife Emily and kids Junior and Princess on the red carpet at the Caudwell Butterfly Ball, and told The Sun: “It’s hard because you’re so strict as a parent, but as time goes on you start letting the reigns go a little bit.
“You don’t want to let them go too much too quick.”
Peter said that Love Island “doesn’t exist” in his household and he wouldn’t let Princess go on the show now, but he did admit he’d prefer if she “hosted” the hit reality series instead.
Love Island to one side, there is one show he wouldn’t mind his kids going on and it’s one close to the Grease star’s heart – I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Asked if he’d ever want his kids, Princess and Junior, to go on the reality show that Pete met their mum Katie Price on, he said: “I think that’s a good one because it has challenges and you can fight for you food and things. It has that survival aspect to it.”
Peter was on the hit show in 2004 and he and Katie grew close while in the jungle together.
The couple went on to get married in a fairytale wedding at Highclere Castle, the home of Downton Abbey.
They welcomed two children, Junior and Princess, together, but got divorced after four years in 2009.

Peter has ruled out returning to the hit show, and addressed the fact that he’s nearly 50 while on the Caudwell red carpet.
He said: “No I wouldn't but I would definitely present it...as in, I know Ant and Dec present it but you know the spin offs they do.
"Now those I would love to do and present but no I wouldn't go back in the jungle."
Peter has always insisted he’s got great love for the show that changed his life, and once said: “ it is one of the best shows on TV.
"I think people would be like 'mate get over it. You've been on it too many times'. I would like to present it though."
In April The Sun revealed how ITV had commissioned a special one-off All Stars series featuring "the most loved and favourite" campmates from the show's past.
Rather than heading Down Under, the show will be filmed in South Africa later this year.
