Who is Paul Sullivan? Meet The Apprentice 2016 candidate – here’s what we know
The Essex boy reckons he’s ‘just like Tottenham Hotspur’ – well that’s one way to get on Lord Sugar’s right side
PAUL Sullivan is the owner and director of a marketing agency, but he’s certainly not one for creating gimmicks when it comes to sailing through to the finals.
The 38-year-old Essex native whose working life began on a market stall, says he doesn’t need a “USP” to win The Apprentice and that his “consistency and sincerity” is what will impress Lord Sugar.
And despite the fact the self-proclaimed charmer’s company specialises in finance, technology, construction and property, it’s the football analogies he’s using to describe his prowess.
Paul says that he will be like Tottenham Hotspur this season, cruising in and “all of a sudden people will realise this guy’s in the race” - surely that will have some resonance with former Spurs owner Alan Sugar.
Don’t go thinking that Paul is all about the teamwork though, the businessman knows it’s every contestant for themselves.
“I’ll play the team when I need to be part of the team,” he says.
“But I’m here to win, I’m not here to make up numbers.”
