Sinitta reveals she was ambushed by a violent girl gang in Sainsbury’s
Simon Cowell’s confidante opens up about the attack that saw her assaulted at the supermarket
SINITTA has relived the shocking moment she was punched in the face by a girl in a supermarket.
The singer mistook the women for fans in her local Sainsbury's and ran towards them, only for them to violently attack her.
Sinitta said: “A girl gang attacked me in Sainsbury's after I released Toy Boy.
“They were calling me and I thought they were calling me like teenage girls, like fans.
“I just ran towards them and then I was hit.

Sinitta, now 52, released the hit song in 1987 and became a household name after it reached number four in the UK singles chart.
Shockingly, the mum of two admitted she didn’t go to the police following the attack, instead confiding in her close friends.
She told the Daily Star: “I was so embarrassed it didn't even occur to me to call the police.
“I just went home and cried. I told my friends.
“If it had happened today you would call the police.”
Sinitta now works closely with Simon Cowell on The X Factor but this year thinks they’ve made a mistake with some of the contestants they’ve chosen to put through to the live stages of the competition.
She explained: “I am wondering if Sharon [Osbourne] was drinking gin instead of water when she put Honey G through. I was very confused on her part.
“I love rap music but Honey G isn’t like the greatest rapper.”
But the So Macho star admitted she thought it may have been a tactical move, adding: “I think Sharon has done it to get back at Simon but she did it so seriously…that can be the only explanation.”
