After that photo shopping mystery Liz Hurley admits her 14-year-old son did have champagne
WHEN pictures of Liz Hurley’s 14-year-old son were released in Hello Magazine, fans claimed it looked as though he’d been photo shopped.
The editing was allegedly focussed on the teenager’s hand, where it had seemed like he had been holding a glass that had later been digitally removed.
Now, Liz has confirmed Damien was holding a glass of fizzy on This Morning but insists it was just a prop.
She said: “You know what, he probably was handed a glass of champagne, he held it to join in.”
When hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield first brought the topic up, Liz appeared to try and swerve their questions.
On seeing the pictures, taken at a high society bash, on screen, Liz quipped: “I can’t see a thing from here because I am blind.”
However the This Morning duo didn’t relent until Liz finally gave them an answer.
The images have been discussed on the show before.
Treading very carefully, Ruth began: “People are saying it looks like the image might have been altered. If you look it looks like Liz has what looks like a glass of champagne in her hand. I can’t confirm that.
Eamonn, who described Liz as the ‘yummiest mummy of them all’, then proceeded to mimic Damian’s hand saying: “My Action Man was like that – his hands were like that.”
Ruth continued: “It did get us thinking about children and alcohol. Damian is 14, we have a 14-year-old son. They think they are very grown up but they are not at the age they can drink… except you can drink if it’s a private event and you have your parent’s permission. It’s not actually illegal.”
She added: “I am a little bit on the fence.”
Meanwhile the debate got people talking - with them both calling in to share their stories and also taking to Twitter.
One person wrote: “#THISMORNING a 14 year old had a glass of champagne, the reason it was photoshopped was because of the exact way This Morning is reacting.”
While another asked: “So what if @ElizabethHurley son had a glass of champagne, he was supervised, not like some the riff raff drinking outside Tesco #ThisMorning.”
